Its why Schmutzie, QCP, Scott from Iowa and Maddux boy have each thought they create read on the air as if it is a breaking news story. Not to take away from Bulls fan Amir who's insight is so special, that his every thought should be repeated for the masses.

WOW.... biggie starting a B&B showthread? man i can remember the not-too-distant-days when you had to be on your game to beat the usual suspects to making a proper showthread..... now? it's almost done out of necessity often an hour or so into the show.

if anything, bernsie/the-powers-that-be should read into it that the show is fading with its core base of listeners (even tho we're likely marginalized as a "vocal minority of superfans" in their eyes) to the point where showthreads used to be a thing and now they're just kind of done because we need somewhere to house our daily bitchings/nitpickings.

even my dad, about as even-keeled of an average average-listener as there is, says that my mom can't stand to listen to "all of the yelling" in the background when his newly-retired-arse turns on the show for the usual mid-day catharsis that we've all been programmed to seek out. obviously i got him a nice pair of headphones for christmas =D

TL;DR = oh how the mighty have fallen..... and welp as long as the ratings are decent enough and the show continues on being the longest running show on the station, the imitators/clones will continue to make the station WDAN and we'll continue down this path of malaise all the way down to its inevitable end aka the worst place any radio show can end up in: complete and total indifference.

we're 85% there.... where's a ReVolution when you need it? (* remembers that he might have to make his monthly check of the other board to see what's good with the "vocal minority of superfans" who left this board because clearly the one time in life they became a "minority" was one time too much for them *)

had to turn off Spiegs and finfer for phone call reasons, never turned the radio back on and the silence was productive, not having a little jewish guy from deerfield try to explain to me what I see and think, because there is no way i could be capable of doing so on my own.

So, if I go the Bulls game and cheer because Noah is going to surpass the 100 pt mark for a free Big Mac I must have a sign that says "I AM ONLY CHEERING FOR THE FREE BIG MAC. MY EXCITEMENT SHOULD NOT BE SEEN AS AN APPROVAL OF THE TEAM AS A WHOLE OF HOW THIS GAME TRANSLATES INTO A WINNING SEASON."

And for the "Revolution" if Sini was involved, it would never get off the ground for failure to commit to a time and date for the revolution.

touche, i can't really say much other than 'there's a method to the madness' of my perennial blurting out of ideas that i never get around to finishing. it's part and parcel of my existence and the fundamental hope that outlies/belies(?) my existence.

HOO BOY BOB FROM NILES REVIEWS A MOVIE?!?!!? thanks for the warning, FOTStein, i'll be popping over to talkSPORT right now. also... god, abbatacola points out a richie incognito tweet saying 'please stop the hate' and FOTStein, fully foaming at the mouth at the bully pulpit, matter-of-factly drops a quick NO!!!! to that idea. indeed, it's time to rub the proverbial dog's face in the mess he created in the name of doing some IMPORTANT WORK IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ONLINE/BULLYING. and see, already i just heard that rene meulenstein(sp) has been sacked as fulham coach! PERTINENT NEWS I'M INTERESTED IN > richie incognito and bob from niles and etc.

AHEM. anyways, yeah biggie, you're spot on with your analysis of the b&b showgram these days. you managed to go out and say it rather bluntly and simply in a way that i can only dream of doing in the middle of one of my 500+ word diatribes. there's just this overwhelming aura of negativity that eminates from the speakers during b&b that you've aptly summed up; i really feel like there's this vibe where dan feels it his responsibility as a FOTS to "educate" us "ignorant listeners" as to the one true way and the light!

besides, it was indeed me that got matt abbatacola to go on a tirade where he said no matter how many games i watch or how much i know i'm still going to be an ignorant idiot with no hope aside from listening to them more. you see, i had made the mistake where abbatacola saying "MEL TUCKER SHOULD NOT BE FIRED" multiple times = matt advocating that mel tucker should keep his job, which as i've grown to learn are two entirely different concepts that act as a symbol of my needing to listen to the show more/closely in order to have my overwhelming ignorance fixed.

anyways, i'll check back by the top of the hour as i can't do bob from niles.... are we 500% sure this isn't some bit scripted by his comedy cousins?

CSFMB is usually a place where everyone disagrees with everyone BUT the "Bob in Niles" thing seems to have about 95% or more of the CSFMB on the same side. It needs to stop.

He used to talk to the guy and was cordial with him. At least that's how I remember it. He didn't make it an official part of his show.

yeah and see i'm not claiming some moral high ground here where they've gotta stop because it's "elderly abuse" or "picking on the [r-word]ed" or whatever.... i'm all for that sort of stuff (...as my future political career goes up in flames via posting this on the eternal internet) but it's just BAD..... bad bad bad bad bad </piersall>.

evidently mike in milwaukee is a real person who's really drunk and therefore too spotty to keep up all the time, cuz say what you will about bob from niles but the guy is there at their beck and call and as such he's picked up the mantle as the show's supermeatball/drunken mascot and ran with it..... all the way to PTFB moments like this movie review thing.

really, what's the humor in a non-entertaining possibly-drunken idiot reviewing a movie? LOL HE HAS ONLY SEMI-FORMED THOUGHTS THAT AREN'T AS ARTICULATE AS MINE?!?!?! i dont get it.... and since the show treats him as a veritable bellcow of their version of stern's famous "wack pack" there's sure a lot of it hyped up like it's some segment we'll make a radio appointment to listen to?

if only laurence still had the "who's been taking a hit from michael phelps' bong?" segment then i'd have a proper avenue to unleash a little catharsis about this sort of thing. c'est la vie.

I was one of the few holdouts, because it can be amusing but he has too many days where he seems to be struggling for me to enjoy it.

wow it's almost like the guy with the ivan drago avatar has underwent some sort of "heel turn" and thus decided to "troll the everliving shit out of us" via going against the flow of popular opinion and standing up for what's right.... or should i say what's left/wrong!

inb4 "bizarro RPB" shows up to give us one post a week of status quo posting that in no way challenges us or our expectations for the everypost!

anyways, i look forward to bizarro RPB chiming in over @ the HHSOTD thread talking about how we're both wrong and chief keef *IS* the one true teenage rap messiah to end them all. nas = overrated; duh!

BREAKING: The Score's Dan Bernstein reports that he was never bullied growing up in any way shape or form! Tune in to 670AM or go to http://www.670TheScore.com for further details.

Dan Scorehead would then take it one step further to say that his never being bullied is inexorable proof that "bullying" as a whole is overblown because it's thusly nonexistent =D

...can you imagine Bernstein getting bullied growing up? I wonder if it would have impacted him in any meaningful way, as the end result of non-bullying = the bully ascends his bully pulpit to bait people into calling up into bullied into being "on the right side" of the issue/s, BECAUSE THERE IS NO ARGUMENT HERE! so maybe if he had been hazed as a kid he'd end up having more pity for the bullies of the world and not end up being a rather magnanimous one himself!

No shit Dan didn't get bullied growing up where he grew up. If he had grown up in, oh, say, rural Wisconsin, he'd probably have a different story to tell.
