That's something I've wondered about Pennsylvania's liquor laws. If the state is worried about how much people are drinking why force them to buy an entire case of beer?

Yeah,it was confusing when I visited Gettysburg a couple years ago.

If any of you get out here in the QCA try almost anything at Bent River. About the only beer I drink now comes from there.
The Imperial IPA is great and the double Hops Pilsner is out of this world.

Uncommon stout is one of my favorite beers. I also thought java jingle was solid.

Matt,What can you compare the uncommon with? I am a novice with Stouts. I prefer Pilsners and Ales esp IPA.

I compare it with Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout. Very similar beer.

That's a good comparison. With a good coffee flavor.

I prob will not like it then. I am not a big fan of flavored beers. Sam Smith Oatmeal is one of my all time favs. The oatmeal there is good as well.

Give it a try when you go there. I'm sure you can get a sampler for a buck or two. My brother in law brings me back growlers when he is there.

I feel stupid but have tried to sign up 3x and never can get it completed. Just had a Hopslam while listening to a project manager tell me nothing important for an hour.

Untapped is great

Also Miller Fortune is meh

It's a little bit better tasting than Miller lite but with a higher percentage of alcohol.

Not worth really trying.

A great friend went to FFF yesterday for lunch and delivered a case of Zombie Dust and a bomber of Backmasking last night.

Hey Redskin greg!

I visited 2 different places that had HopSlam on tap yesterday. Did you want to know those too? I know it's way past your "deadline" of when HopSlam could be found, but I want to keep you informed. Just doing my job.

Still waiting on that sixer. Supposedly Schaumburg Binny's receives a case of ZD each week, but you have to time it perfectly, because it sells out within 30-45 minutes. Hoping I can nab six this week. Bought a Pipeworks Simcoe Ninja today. Don't believe I've had that before.

Had the Simcoe in a tasting yesterday. Good but for the $, I'd go a different direction.

Also tried Only Child Brewery out of Northbrook. I liked their IPA and DIPA. Grabbed a bottle of each for the 500 next week. My first impression was it wasn't worth the money at $11/bomber but I like to support local brews. Plus it was a hubby and wife start-up and the wife was kind of hot.

I checked my BA list, and I have had Simcoe before. Gave it a 3.75. Hoping I like it more this time!

So what you are saying is that advertisers should use hot women to sell products to men? That's a great idea!

Had a couple of beers this weekend that I didn't care for....

- Brother Benjamin by Greenbush - billed as a Hop Slam equivalent, found it to be too sweet and not hoppy for my tastes which stunned the hell out of me given it's billed as being at 114 IBU. Maybe my palatte is off, but it just was not very good.

- Backmasking from FFF - It was a good beer don't get me wrong, but for the price and brewery, I expect something interesting and better. It was like any other oatmeal stout out there and wlll not stand out.
