The "My kid is so smart" is now being pushed on an hourly basis. Was in transition and clicked off for today in the first minute.

"My kid was watching and he knows everything, its amazing how smart he is" a variation on this happens now each time I listen. Maybe I am just lucky and get to tune in when I am being amazed by the immense IQ of Jason Bernstein. This kid is for sure going to need to go to private school soon. lol

Jason will be a future NASCAR driver just to troll his father. He already nailed the hockey part.

All physical threats will be reported to the proper authorities.

Thats the general thought. "come on, who batted behind Babe ruth, your dad always say how smart you are?"

he is so aware of trying not to put his kid in a bad situation and here he is daily making the kid out to be a sports savant!

I dunno how smart he is, he thought the Jamaican bobsledders were wearing helmets made of real watermelons.

this has been happening for a few years already

wait until high school for this to really amp up

the kid is probably failure proof after that as, unless Dan has been a complete tool to Duke, the kid will get in thus replenishing the cycle

"Daddy, why don't you talk about me like you talk about your son?"

Their talk about the extinction of the shooting guard was so superficial and stupid. They missed the point entirely that all positions are blurring and becoming pointless. Unless another Shaq come soon you will not likely see another true 5 for a long time. The NBA knew this and changed all-star rosters.

As for the two and so on it is somewhat close what they said in college that they do not train them. I see it more even though at the HS level with my kids. It is all this knew motion weave offense as unless a school is luck size difference isn't a factor and kids can shoot and lay up. I watch HS bball and unless there is a stud of some sort posting up (maybe one out of twenty schools) there are no positions anymore.

Did Terry say he saw Kris Bryant play in the College World Series? If he did that's a really neat trick because Bryant's team didn't make it to the College World Series.

Terry does this shit all the time grabs a guy and makes him his sure fire guy. Did it with the recently mentioned on the show Penny Hardaway. I think he just liked to say Penny like he knew him instead of Anfernee.

I hope his son enrolls to Penn State.

Also, does he still gave a daughter? I bet her sports thoughts are shit anyway.

Am I the only one who thinks this.......Bernsie has really become Mr. Nice Guy during transition since Mac dropped the hammer on him. He still has to insert his annoying personal stories or bring up his awesome "Cubs source" but it's like he knows there might be some impending doom ratings wise if Mac jumps to the FM station.

I hope this does not offend Mac but Bernise and his cronies had Mac in an easy position. If he was always high and on thin ice Bernsie et al could do whatever they want. What they have to deal with now is sober, strong Mac on the muscle. Much more formidable. If not somewhere else Bernsie should worry about his job there.

Oh I'd never expect a Harry thing. I expect Mac back in full force wanting to shove ratings down that style of radio's throat. Just my uneducated guess.

You're on to it, pittmike. For a long time, when stuff happened in transition (and many other places) I was content to avoid conflict...just daydreaming about my next bowl to spark or when I was poppin' the next yellow bird. In sobriety, I'm more engaged and willing to take on all comers. Having said that...don't assume I'm off the wagon if you hear me flagging on NBA discussion in transition in the weeks ahead. Intense Xs and Os on the NBA just bores the shit out of me.

One Major Correction (salute). I wasn't on the air stoned. Years ago on the Sunday morning shift with Doug, I'd blaze up with Jesse before we took the plane up. But I never was much of one to spark before a "regular shift." In afternoon drive, I'd blaze on the golf course a few hours before showtime, but I never wasted bud by burning it before air time.

I didn't mean to imply that. But if it is know even in quiet circles around work in any setting that a person has some issues advantage can be taken. Regardless, glad you are back motivated.

That is what makes you a difficult listen for me I know it means ptfb. I have listened to you since the Chet days I was a huge fan of Coppock as a youth. I liked you with Boers also. The lack of basketball talk particularly this time of year makes it a tough listen. You cant tell me bass or wall eye fishing discussion is more exciting. You don't have to be a guru with the stuff. At this stage of the game your show will not make the adjustment and your stance is a tad bit commendable in sense that you have stood firm throughout the years. For me though I can't listen because many of the topics have become stale and redundant. I do respece your candor and your willingness to take people, particularly co workers to task. i just cant get with the constant references to old movies and 70's music. Its played out.

I'm fine with Bulls conversation, LongTimeGuy. Notice what I wrote. "Intense Xs and Os." It's boring. It's boring with most sports. This is a very provincial town and when the Bulls aren't good, very few care. Breaking down out of town games/rosters, etc. isn't going to get me ratings.
