You are such a smarmy fuck. You know my position from several conversations we had and you spout this fucking lie. Wow you are a total jagoff

Your positions on immigration are devoid of things like understanding, logic and compassion.

You don't like it when people resort to name calling, but you do it as often as anybody. Read Nas' last post as many times at it takes, until you understand.

Nas wrote:

Yet you guys rip on me yet Ike gets a 24/7 pass on his shit.

You're getting on Nas for saying "who knows maybe I would be lazy" as if its actually happened.

Yeah, I've been lucky. My longest stretch of unemployment has been three weeks one time.

I guess people get depressed or something. My mom was too good for McDonalds. Another mom from our school got a job there when her husband got laid off and offered to get my mom a job. No dice. She was a manager at her previous job (three unemployed years later)

I mean, I know I'd have no problem waiting tables, delivering food, cleaning carpets or digging ditches

I sorta get it when the unemployment is more than you'd be making but still I think I'd rather work
The reason many jobs are "beneath" many Americans is because they suck because an undocumented labor force is there to fill them and companies take advantage of them by at or below minimum wage pay scales.

Can we get back to any immigrant who is classified as being illegal is breaking the law and is therefore also a criminal?

If a person is here illegally and is making minimum wage - should that minimum wage be increased?

I'll sit back and wait 50 more pages for my answer.

I had a 15 year old bar back taking home $50K a year. I'm quite sure he did not feel taken advantage of. Nor did his family in Mexico.

I don't champion any illegal activity. I just feel the problem is more complex than some suggest.

* There is a demand for these workers here
* Deplorable conditions in their own countries make leaving the only viable option for some

Kicking them all out and locking the borders does not solve either of these.

You didn't feel that you needed to work. If that offends you, look for that mirror Chus sent you.

And some don't consider calling people names, debate. Or does that come off smarmy to you.

WOW!

So you are too disabled to work until you find a job that pays well enough to work?

Sorry, this, not illegal immigration, is what is wrong with the USA.

To be fair I dint think anyone said illegal immigration is what's wrong with the USA

Its a problem like many others (disability fraud, link card abuse, lobbyists). We all just rank them differently

Fair enough.

Seacrest can I ask you a couple of questions

1) Was he undocumented
2) did you pay him under the table
3)If he was paid above board did he produce the required documentation per the Federal W-2 tax form
4) What time did you have him work. There are very exact times that someone that age can work and how many hours per week they can work

You are done talking about your personal life, yet you ask Seacrest several questions about his personal life?

A couple means two, not four.

Sounds like you were paying him around $15-$20 an hour unless you were in violation of work rules for minors.

There would be demand for legal workers if the cheaper illegal workers were taken away.

I feel bad that other countries have it worse than us but we also can't use that to excuse how we do what is best for our citizens.

Illegal immigration is going to become an even larger problem as the job market continues to shrink here.

At 15 I would have done just about anything to make $50k. Of course I probably would have spent $10k on basketball and baseball cards.

At that age I was working at the local rectory and delivering papers. You know there is a law about minors being in bars during time they are open.
Wow Seacrest you are so much of a hypocrite it is not even funny.
I spent my money mostly on models. Naval and Aircraft.

Seacrest's story doesn't check out at all. If you put an ad in the paper offering $50k a year to high school kids you'd have a line out the door. There are waiters making half that who are older.

His wait staff and bartenders must have been part of the 1%.
