Yeah,that sucks. We had a lot of dripping on the inside of my house where the slanted roof meets up with the flat roof. Never had that issue in 26 years but really no surprise an ice dam formed in that spot. Roofer came out and shoveled all away and today will provide a "fix" to prohibit our seals from popping open again.

took a cursory look around my roof yesterday and there doesn't appear to be any major ice dams

similar problem with a crack along the grout line. Luckily I already have guys out who are building the basement and can get right on it. It's only money, right?

Same here. Got home about 7, and all the gutters were dripping so if there is ice, there is still enough room for at least some of the water to get by. Most of the rooftop snow/ice is probably going to melt today.

Here is my question:

My downspouts are "buried" and run out.....maybe 12-15 feet from the edge of the foundation. However, because they are buried, they are frozen, and will be for some time - until the ground thaws. Yesterday, the water was backing up and flowing out of the seams of the tubes that lead underground.

Am I screwed because of this or is it no different than having downspout that ends near the house? Is there something I can do to thaw out the buried tubes?

Shit man, but there's that feeling of having done it.
Hell, when my ejector pump went out I could have had it done by a plumber for $1000. I did it myself for $350 in parts and materials. Granted it's a "shitty" job but I also had a lot of fun with the $650 I saved.
