It's hard to say U2 is greater than the Beatles when their record sales are less than the Beatles. They've been around for 38 years and they still didn't outsell them. If you count all the post-Beatles projects it's not even close.

First of all record sales prove nothing but who was more popular with music buyers.


Do you believe Lady Gaga is better than The Doors, Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley and Nirvana?


Secondly (and this is not really for U2) were going to have to adjust how we even judge popularity with downloads etc
