Read the last couple pages and my statement should make more sense. In actuality it were to come to pass that we did meet and he did say something to that effect, Id laugh it off . It certainly wouldn't be you said mean things to me on the internet, I want to fight you . Doesn't matter though, he already destroyed me in this thread so he will have to be content with that all important victory

Ahhh Yes. I am BRogue! I was at the McNugget event. So even when I insult people who post their thoughts under their own names, you're an asshole for calling me out, and I will make sure to look like the victim. Even if it takes me 3 pages.

I find this all very hard to believe...who would truly admit to being a friend of drinky? I wonder why he doesn't do the broadcasting school spots anymore!?!?!?!

Admin: "Matt...we are going to have to ask that you don't do the reads anymore."

Drinky: "Really...why?...I'm on the radio!"

Admin: "uhmmm...your "near" radio...you're not really what we consider to be...uhmmm...successful"

If you notice, Baby McCown isn't exactly being forthcoming with that information either. He denied having other mults but wouldn't deny being friends with drinky.

No.

Some people are just not very good at a lot of jobs. Drinky is not good at hosting. Luck has zero to do with it.

I think so too.

He's just developed some really annoying habits. I think he actually can be a good host. However, his brand seems to now be acting like an annoying sports fan that doesn't actually exist.

Maybe not. I guess not seizing opportunities might be more accurate.

Also, as Zizou noted, hitching his star to Bernstein was a dead end street when compared to how Mac sets up his guys

He had opportunities numerous times. I'm thinking he did his best each time. Dean Martin and Bernsy had already been developed. I concur with Zizou also.

He seemed really grateful when he got the opportunity to be the Cubs reporter. Did that not go well and Mitch relegated him back to producing?

He's not a show host. His reporting and update hosting are fine when he sticks to a script.

I actually think he's gotten some luck for somebody that's not not highly educated, well-spoken or talented. That's pretty rare in radio. He's been given chances.

- B&B rescued him from the evil Mike Murphy and gave him exposure on their show. Sure, they kind of made him into this frat-boy, partying "Drinky" character, but it was exposure none the less. Drinky actually loved that character initially.

- Because of B&B exposure, he got some air time. Mitch was trying to make "B&B II" with the "Goff and drinky Show". That went bad. Putting the B&B kids together was not a good idea.

-So "drinky and Goff" were blown up but both still did solo shows at nights at weekends. That went bad. Drinky went Bernstein too much and pretty much spent his shows telling listeners to "Go fuck themselves".

- Still, even with that, Mitch gave drinky to North for a tryout on the morning show. Drinky couldn't play well with North. I can't blame him for this one. North was dumber than drinky and that wasn't gonna work out. So drinky told North "You're dead to me" and he was off that show.

- Even with all these failures, Mitch made drinky a Cubs beat reporter. His reports were bad and when he would talk to Bernstein from the ball park, Bernstein was the one informing drinky what was going on with the Cubs. Berntein made drinky look bad. Not to mention his reports weren't very smooth or informitive.

- But even after that, drinky gets to be an update boy a couple times a week while being Bernstein's producer. Mitch allows him to get extra work without working nights or weekends. That was nice of Mitch. Any idiot can do updates. Drinky is fine when he does straight reads. But a lot of times he likes to give bad opinions, take shots at people, tell bad jokes and try to strike up stupid conversations with the talk show hosts. So overall it's bad.

Like I said, he's had good fortune and luck. He's been bad at several different jobs and/or chances. Some people are just bad at broadcasting.

But I do think drinky was probably an alright guy before Bernstein got a hold of him. Chirst, he was gonna be a priest for the love of God.

When you're around the "Bernstein thing" day in and day out, it must rub off on you and kind of make you a jag. The one time aspiring priest met the devil in Bernstein. And the devil knocked the good Christian out of him. Plus at the Score, there are no bosses that say "Hey, stop being a jag."

It's one thing for Mitch to allow Berntein to be this way. He makes him money. Mitch needs to control the lessor guys at the station. Control your bitches, Mitch!!!!. He never does. Never will.

But you can't put it all on Bernstein for drinky's behavior. Especially the last few years. While he was influenced by Bernstein and that got him started, he also enjoys being a jag and acting a fool. He should have recognized early on that he can't do it Bernstein's way. Not that smart or talented to pull it off.

And, of course, he also tried to break a Bears story to get some attention. "Cutler might have surgery, mother fuckers. Woooo hoooo!!!! Fuck all of you who doubt me." Complete bullshit. And he knew it was, too.

It wasn't just that CSFMB knew it was a lie. People at the Score knew it as well. So did all the Bears reporters in this city. So shit like that hurts him too.

Whoa wait a minute, Im confused. McNown said he has only used his current moniker since he's been here, even asked Biggie to confirm it. Now you come along and say thats not the case ? How can he be full of shit? I don't understand.

What's up with the nickname drinky?

Because I said something about him using a different name above and he's psycho enough to assume I gave you the moniker.
