You made a ridiculous point about hating the troops, if one doesn't support military action in Syria. Even Chas wouldn't say something so silly.

Dan Cathy hates gays so much, that he has donated MILLIONS to political organizations trying to deny rights to gay people. After the SCotUS struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, he tweeted, "Sad day for our nation; founding fathers would be ashamed of our gen. to abandon wisdom of the ages re: cornerstone of strong societies." This hateful bigot actually thinks society will crumble if gays are allowed to marry. Of course, the big shot removed that tweet.

I am trying to give you credit by saying that you are smart enough to understand this. Please don't ruin it for me.

I asked you a question. I made no statement.

Now can you tell me why it's not equivalent?

Because all this other stuff you posted above has nothing to do with my question.

I just did. I don't know what to tell you, if that answer does not satisfy you.

I'm sorry, your answer is not apparent.

So, is it possible for me to love soldiers even when I disagree with their actions?

A simple yes or no will suffice for me.

This is great news. I can't tell you how many lives I've endangered this year alone by waking up at 10:15 and trying to get to McD's in less than 15 minutes so I can have an egg white delite Mcmuffin.

I must have missed the part where you donated MILLIONS to deny the soldiers rights, and when you said that their actions will cause our society to crumble.

If this doesn't satisfy you, then I suggest retiring to private quarters, to finish yourself off.

yes, but unfortunately they did not serve egg white Mcmuffins. We had to settle for steak and halibut.

Because your oversimplification is beyond ridiculous. My point should be really easy to understand. I see no reason to keep repeating myself, when everybody but you gets it.

I know your antennae are up whenever some says anything negative about a bigoted Christian, but I really have nothing else to add here.

Has anyone had their mighty wings?

One of our drivers had a couple leftover from lunch. He offered so I tried one. I think its made from pigeon.

I took 2 bites out of one once, and threw the rest away. Absolutely the worst wing by far I have ever tasted.

So you won't explain the lack of equivalency you allege, and you won't answer a yes or no question.

Thanks for responding though Chus.

You and I must have a different understanding about what the word "love" means. In my world, if you love someone, you don't try to deny them basic rights, and cry that giving them those rights will cause society to crumble. That is the opposite of love.

If bigots like Dan Cathy and Mini Ditka don't want to have to defend their beliefs, then they should keep those beliefs to themselves. If Dan Cathy kept his mouth shut, and just raked in the money, by slinging yard bird, we aren't even having this discussion.

Now, let's get back to horrible, but quickly prepared food. Frank tried to get this thread back on the tracks.

Can you maybe throw me a bone and list a couple of the Founding Fathers, and any founding mothers too, that you actually believe would disagree with what the chicken sandwich guy said?

Thread = completely derailed

We went from talking about McDonald's, to which founding fathers and mothers also hated the gays, as the chicken man does.

Then I can quote Thomas Jefferson, and you can tell me that I quoted a slave owner?

If you want to justify Dan Cathy's beliefs because he is a Christian, feel free. We disagree. Why is not okay to disagree? Why must this be a battle to the end? Nothing either of us say, will sway the other's opinion on this matter. It's not like this is my cause, and I'm out picketing in front of Chick-Fil-A. I don't like his views, so I buy sandwiches elsewhere. It's pretty simple, really.

So, Frank, tell us more about the mighty wings.

I already said I think they are made out of pigeon. It was awful.

I don't think our founding father's would have any idea what a chicken sandwich is, so they probably would think he is crazy and/or drunk.

Mighty Wings have been a huge failure. Macs is sitting on 10 million frozen wings & will cut the price about 50% in an attempt to sell them.

They now have them 5 for $3, so I don't see the deal.

I didn't think they were bad, but anything over .50 a wing is ridiculous.

They were originally priced at $1 per wing. Gee...I wonder why they failed?

If they're not offering them at a notable price break from, say, BWW or Hooters, I have no idea what the draw would be going to a hamburger place for half-assed wings.

Wait... what if the soldiers hate gays too?
