I actually see the value in an "innings eater," especially with the Cubs shitty relief pitching. Obviously though, the "innings eater" can't be worse than the shitty relievers. It's why I can't stand Shark and his 100 pitches by the 5th bullshit. Again something than can be overlooked, but not with a 4.3 ERA.

So they now have a shitty pitcher who eats innings. Along with a nice chunk of the payroll. I just can't let this one go. It bugs the shit out of me. And then having to listen to Little Lord Fauntelroy is the cherry on the shit sundae.

The guy hadn't pitched 200 innings in the two years prior to the signing and had only pitched 200 innings twice in a 10 year career.

They signed him because they thought they were being smart with an undervalued, young player. It just turns out they were wrong. Now they are retrofitting the reasoning.
