The new start up station, "The Game," strikes again with the pilfering of Connor McKnight. There impressive stable of Score talent is impressive, those stars were just waiting to break out and make a name for themselves, of course they were held down by stars of radios past trying to hang on to kingdoms past and left to rot. Mac is definitely auditioning for a new gig since he has returned from what was his latest "Time Off," so I bet he see's everyone leaving and his licking his chops. My worry is that he leaves and gets paired with someone he's hosted with before and is Milquetoast Mac or Mail It In Mac. Whatever though, the show has been solid and top notch since he has returned, I'll take it.

Any idea why he took a huge shot at Finfer the other day?

Topics?

Don't know.

I want to hear Mac break down the Bulls game that he allegedly put $250 on yesterday. He took Golden
State as a lock. I didn't blame him but when I saw the Bulls won by 20 this morning I had to chuckle a
little bit.

 I love when Mac thinks NBA games are a lock. Especially when he's certain a decent team like the Bulls are gonna lose.

Start getting against the 76ers the rest of the year Mac. You're welcome.

I can't remember it specifically, but I remember laughing. It was near the end of yesterday's show or at transition.

I didn't know Mc Night left. He really is the one who stands to gain the most at that station. He has all the essentials for good radio. Now he needs to work on his personality. Hopefully he can redefine himself

I can't say I heard him say "lock" per se but he had a number of reasons why it was a smart play.
I'll let him discuss in 30 minutes, if it gets brought up.

Yeah I remember it. I don't think he said lock but he was awfully confident.

That's like saying Felix Pie has all the essentials for a good baseball player but he just needs to work on how to play baseball. Personality is like 90% of the gig.

I know but this situation allows him to be who he wants to be not who he feels he has to be.

It was lighthearted. Can't remember but I think it was a double shot at him and the new station. It wasn't a petulant shot borne of bitterness and insecurity like Leery's are.

Laurence is gotta be building up a ton of stuff he wants to say.

Grimace's cover band is doing some Zeppelin this weekend. He'll be there, but not to sing, because his rotund ass can't hit the high notes. They'll probably have some chick do it, like most bands nowadays. What happened to dudes who had range in their singing? Bunch of half-talking/half-singing Eddie Vedder no talent ass-clowns.

y'know, this is probably the wrong thread but it's mentioned here so oh well. The Game is going to leave the Score in a precarious position with the glass ceiling talent drain. They're basically using the Score as a minor league system that they can utilize due to the overabundance of stars who are immovable at the top. It's going to especially show during the summer vacations and weekends as the Score descends into beyond replacement level talent at the mic.

I liked Connor. I thought he was getting much better. Ben sounds good at the new station when I periodically tune in. Sadly, out here in the sticks I get the Game better than ESPN 1000 when the Score exasperates me.

Is the Randazzler next? Matty? The Game would be wise to nab him for a good amount as the PD/host. He would cut his own path there, I'm confident of that.

I don't think the Score has anything to worry about. I like Finji, but most people don't or don't care. Drinky is fucking terrible and the Score would be better without him. I don't think most people have even heard Connor.

I think the minor league analogy is wrong. It's more like a rival team nabbing the Chris Andersons, Haslems, and Norris Coles off the Heat after they won the title. It wont mean shit if the Game cant land LeBron(Mac).

Program Director Matt Abbatacola? Can you imagine going over your airchecks with him? "Good so far, but try to work on saying the host's name eight times in a row before you make your point. Remember, your audience is always changing."

Why put a limit on his abundant skill set? Make him general manager too. and morning host.

I bet you anything, none of these clowns pick any songs past Physical Graffiti. Real Zep fans here, I tell you. Can I get a Wearing and Tearing? And Mac doesn't know that Living Loving Maid is a separate track from Heartbreaker.

Posers.

Well, Shep picks Fool In The Rain. So, that counts, even if it is just like all the other songs they picked which are played everyday on the radio. Mac did pick In The Light, so he gets points for that, not sure if that makes up for his Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid are one song foolishness. These guys need to listen to ALBUMS, not just the radio.

"Fool in the Rain" is great, fuck whatcha think.

Are "Achilles Last Stand," "Since I've Been Loving You," "No Quarter," and "When The Levee Breaks" still on the board?

"Carouselambra" was my ham in high school.

EDIT: jam, but I'll leave it

Fuck preparation. You should be able to do it off the top of your head, and not relying on WLUP's playlist either.

I can't vouch for their playlist now, but in my prime days of Loyal Loopin' (2001-2003), I can't think of a Zeppelin cut they didn't play. Maybe "The Crunge."
