Franzia = craft wine.

I like the "ugh, how can you drink that" person who thinks they are above you because of the Coors Light or whatever "macro" brew you have in your hand. I always answer with, "I can drink it out of a bottle, a can, or on tap just like you can with what you have."

Yep. I used to trade for it, then was ecstatic when they came back to IL. Abrasive is so damn good. Just wish it were cheaper.

What the heck is this beer trading? Are you just finding random people on the internet, and swapping beers? I wouldn't drink something sent to me by a stranger.

Don't like Phish, pal.

I trade through Beer Advocate.

Beer trading is trading beer with another person.

Douchebag wrote:

My buddy trades with people from the BA. He usually sticks to trading with the same people, as they have established a level of trust. You trade beers that they can't get, for beers that you can't get.

The only trades that I have made are with my buddy in Texas. I know that I can trust him.

The bottles and cans are sealed. It's not like you have to worry about a razor blade in your Halloween candy.

Cassettes?

Who trades anymore? This isn't 1996.

Everything is available to be downloaded, legally or illegally.

I used to trade tapes back in the day. I got ripped off once, so I stopped. At least, I was only out the cost of a few Maxell XLIIs. I would be pissed if I sent a huge box of expensive beer, and got jobbed.

No. I don't care what other people drink. If Miller Lite is your thing, so be it.

I haven't been screwed in a beer trade yet. And, like you mentioned, it's nice to find reputable trading partners. My favorite beer is out of New Mexico. Found a guy there that can get it anytime, so we usually trade every few months. BA started a feedback system a few months, similar to eBay. So if someone is a bad trader, he/she will be outed.

I hope it is great, or I will judge you.

I have a buddy who lives out there, and he drives back every Christmas. I may even go out there in spring or summer, for a couple of days.

The BA rates it highly, so I won't judge you. The rest of you are on notice.

There's a large segment of that out there. And even in the beer community forgive me lord if I'd like a hefeweizen over a douple IPA.

I'm Johnny IPA, but I love me a good hef. Ale Asylum just started distributing here. Their Bedlam is delicious. Check that one out. Belgian IPA, but reminds me of a hef.

I'm new to the world of craft beers, but I really like drinking these hearty beers because they don't have to be ice cold to drink. I can nurse one and it's enjoyable all the way through - plus, I'll drink every last drop of it vs. a domestic that I never completely finish.

What I don't get about these dicks is, presumably you got into brewing for people to enjoy your product. Now, you have found a recipe that people really enjoy but the natural response is to only brew enough for dickheads willing to wait in line for golden tickets to enjoy.

That really defines hipster assholery.
