A 'one of the greatest' type movie doesn't die a slow death for the last 15-20 minutes.

Leash,I will tell you two movies I suggest you see. Both are British crime/mob movies. Great casts and just plain good movies.

I recommend A Bronx Tale for those of you who enjoyed Goodfellas. I feel that movie was underrated.

In Bruges is excellent. I second that recommendation. Although I will await Don Tiny's take on the last fifteen (15) minutes.

Mickey Mantle line is awesome

Mickey Mantle? Is that what you're upset about? Mickey Mantle makes $100,000 a year. How much does your father make? You don't know? Well, see if your father can't pay the rent go ask Mickey Mantle and see what he tells you. Mickey Mantle don't care about you, so why should you care about him? Nobody cares.

The ending is perfect. It makes is real. They could have ended it earlier but that wouldnt have been a true portrait of what they were showing.

Liotta was perfect as a coked out guy too. Great acting.

It was entirely uninteresting. It was like they didn't want to end it on time and threw some scenes together hastily.

Story-wise it makes sense; execution-wise it blows, particularly when compared to the rest of the movie which was, in fact, "one of the greatest" level.

Thanks Chas. If I can find them, I'll check them out. Just watched "The Butler" this weekend. Pretty good.

Its a different tone from the rest of the film but to me it's still good. I love them getting busted. I love the helicopter part.

And Liotta on the stand. Also it was honest. It didnt paint it as some fairy tale.

To me the most realistic mob movie is Donnie Brasco. Every other film in the genre glamorizes mobsters and mob life to some degree. This one felt appropriately desperate. The goofs trying to bust up a parking meter because they were under so much pressure to kick up is a great scene.
