Yes, I remember that. I never asked for an apology (you offered one without being asked) and I didnt ask you to stop (even though you were just blatantly making things up)

But, I can admit that im sensitive. I have already. Thats not what were discussing here.

Did I ask for you to be banned or suspended? No
Did I ask and expect an apology? No

To say nothing of the fact that you are comparing what you did (purposely being an asshole for attention) vs a comedian telling a joke.

I cant stand either Palin or McCain.

She'd definitely be cutting edge at Cooper's Hawk.

Nas, why do you make so many seemingly homophobic jokes and posts?

It goes against everything else I know about you from your posts

I know the difference. This thread wasn't just about comedy though. Comedians can cross a line too.

You're absolutely right. I am wrong for doing it. I used to use the word retarded a lot too until I realized how offensive to some. Now I try to offend people in other ways.

No one needs to apologize but sometimes it's a good idea to do it.

I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately.

The problem with him was that he failed at the only intrinsic rule of comedy - to be funny. He was just a racist dickhead, set off ironically by being too thin-skinned.

That didn't work too well for Kramer. Crossing a line while being funny is important.

I agree with the last part. But stop labeling it as ALL liberal thing. It's all of society. Trust me - there are whiny old conservative bitches out there complaining just as much about some joke that is offensive to their people. Our whole society is always looking for something to complain about.

I was probably the biggest victim of all from what Michael Richards did.

The Comedy Central Roasts could be considered the most offensive things I've ever watched, but no one gets offended. Why?
Because
a) it's funny; and
b) all the prudes who wouldn't like it just don't watch.

If they're that sensitive about everything, just don't watch TV, don't listen to radio, don't get on the internet, and don't go outside your house.
