Well, tonight's Hawks/Jackets game. Yours truly just secured 1st Row tickets to tonight's game in Section 225. Since I don't have the musical talents of the Curious one, you won't be getting any song references in this game thread. And since the Internet provides easy access to the teams' records, I won't address that either.

The Daily Herald says that Q has Shaw on the top line and moving Sharp down to the second line with Kane. I am sure the coach will change his mind before game time or least after a couple of shifts. We didn't make any meaningful trades at the deadline. We had another game where we easily out shot the opponent, but still ended up on the short end of the only thing that matters, namely the final score. I think Bickell's and Crawford's contracts are bad paper.

It seems like Columbus is better this year, but they are still a few notches below the defending champs. The Hawks needs to a take a cue from the Bulls, who continue to bounce back after bad losses.

Hossa is hurt. Kane is still great, but he needs to light the lamp. Toews has a C on his jersey. Pat will say things that makes Eddie laugh unless Steve is in for him. Pat and the United Center will pay numerous tributes to our military personnel. I'll just clap during the anthem and go to the bathroom when they show military people on the big screen during the game. I love our military, but I don't need to see them at every Hawks game.

Post here or don't. I won't care cause I'll be drunk. And shout out to the regulars- Brogue, Darkside, CH, Pittmike, Minookasomething, etc, etc.

Blue Jackets have played well the last two months while the Hawks have been sub-mediocre. They're a no-quit bunch with an elite goaltender, so I don't expect a win here.

2 goals so far and we got 1 from Bollig and the other from Shaw via Brookbank.

Just like I knew it would happen.

Right.
Well, I was thinking earlier... when was the last time you heard Seabrook's name called?
He's been invisible for quite some time.

He scored in the game at Soldier Field.

by chance do you expect a loser's point for the hawks? methinks they've still gotta be the #1 loser's point team in the whole damn NHL, cuz i wanna say they've got 14-16 of those and maybe the next highest total is 10-12? yeah.

this basically tells me that the hawks know that the regular season is all fine and good, i mean go get as much home-ice-advantage as you can get.... but with a good % of this team having been around for both cups, let alone the vast majority having experienced last year with the 3-1 deficit to the red wings, they pretty much know that the real season starts when the actual season ends. until then.... c'est la fucking vie.

Seabrook scored for our team! 5-1 feels good. No more 3 goal lead.

OK, I shouldn't be bitching at this point, but Zus is just killing Kane.

He needs to go. I cannot understand why he's on this team. The Hawks are a speed/stickhandling team, Zus does neither.
