Okay ... affirmed ... why would anyone think that? It's not your style for one thing .....

Because I said something about him using a different name above and he's psycho enough to assume I gave you the moniker.

Well you didn't and it's not like it's a big secret anyway ... it's right up there with Scorehead's original name ... or Hawger's middle name, which is Lucinda.

I think Boers gave him that nickname.

Terry changes the way he introduces the show periodically.

But for a while Dan would open the show with his typical, "Our producers are Matt Abbatacola". Boers would then jump in and say "Drinky, drinky, drinky, drinky, drinky, drinky. Eeeee eeeee eeeee eeee."

They would address him by that name during the show too. Then they stopped calling him that. I think maybe drinky asked Terry and Dan to stop using it cuz it's not really helpful, career wise, to have a nickname that basically tells the world that you're a drunk.

It would probably be helpful career-wise to not be god fucking awful at your job too.

Didn't he refer to himself as "Drinky" in one of those Barbizon Academy of Broadcasting commercials? Something like "Hey, it's Matt Abbatacola -- Drinky..."

Don't know about that. But I thought he embraced the image of the party boy for a while. He loved telling tales of his drunken night with his "Team Lodge" crew

I'm not knocking it. I've had my drunken nights. Hell, I still have them. I just never felt like celebrating it with co workers. Or bragging about it with anybody for that matter. After about 22 you kind of stop with the "Woooo Hoooo, I was so drunk last night." Certainly wouldn't do it over the air. Why would you want that to be your reputation? I think he eventually realized it's not smart to do flaunt it cuz he stopped telling stories and the nickname ended.

I thought drinky dropped his nickname after he lived up to it by getting a DUI.

Matthew J. Abbatacola, 33, 6010 Oakwood, Lisle. Driving under the influence of alcohol: case dropped. Driving while blood alcohol level is .08 or more: guilty; court costs/fines, $600. Improper lane usage-change lanes unsafely: case dropped.

So he was guilty of drunk driving but not driving under the influence???

.08 has no influence on a drinker with drinky's experience.

Drinky talked about his difficulties on the air. That's why he dropped his moniker.

Did anyone else read "Matthew J. Abbatacola, 33..." in David Hochberg's voice?

I heard Matty co-hosting with someone the other day & was his old self. None of the douchbaggery that he displays with B&B.

True, but the newspaper doesn't, for example, reprint it months or years later when they don't have anything better to report.

I feel only Ditka and his family should be ridiculed for drunk driving.

What a little bitch.

Stupid drinky messed up. Called the "National Labor Relations Board" the "National Relations Labor Board".

Bernstein corrected stupid on the air. Drinky, all embarrassed, then said he's gonna kick Bernstein's ass. Why? For the simply correcting you? Then the next caller took a shot at drinky for the mistake and drinky pushed the button to hang up on him.

Ya know, drinky is the same guy that joins B&B in ripping on George Offman for his updates. Laughs like a hyena at some of George's drops. Laughs like a hyena at anybody who fucks up.

If you're stupid, you really can't be a sensitive bitch. Especially if your the stupid person that laughs and ridicules other stupid people.
