Because Noah and company slayed the shit out of them. But regular season games are only worthy of being discussed when the Bulls lose, so let's talk about PECOTA rankings for five straight hours.

Dan: *Sigh*

The. Heat. Dont. Care. About. These. Games. The Bulls can try harder all they want when it doesn't matter.

Terry: Nope. Not one bit. Dont care. The Heat don't care. Why would they!? Don't care.

On a side note, Noah had 20, 12, and 7. Still just a bum slayer?

This is one of the games that doesn't matter.

There is some truth to this stance, but the problem with Bernsie is that if he's gonna say that, then he can't make a big deal about the Nets beating the Bulls, and he did. That's how it's clear that he's just trolling Bulls fans.

There are also no Bulls fans drawing grand conclusions from the win. They are just enjoying a nice victory for what it is. But you can bet that strawman will be brought up 1 or 30 times.

Just to play Devils advocate, you could make the argument that certain games highlight their fatal weaknesses that show they'll never win a tite in the context of meaningless regular season game s

8 of 10 games I take Lebron and Miami, but the Bulls are a thorn in Miamis side.

Lebron shot no free throws today. But he did drive to the hoop. So GREAT D

3 Losses in a row for the Heat. Just dont remember Jordan ever have 3 losses in a row during the pinnacle years. Even the West coast trips, he wouldnt allow his team to have 3 losses in a row.
TWTNL! You see leBron want it many times, but you also see him hang back, not try, Loligag! And that tone is set by D Wade...the king of the Cherry pick.

I don't listen enough to know if they do or not but are they at least consistent with the regular season games don't matter narrative when the Heat win a game against a good team and look good doing it? Or is it then " see when they want to try, no one can beat them"

Its the "If LeBron tries they are the best"...and while its true, the fact that the "If Lebron tries" is an issue takes him out of the BETTER THAN MJ.

Whatever it is BS that LJ didn't try today. But even though if it were true I agree that MJ is the best. He would take a practice and some d league player and break his heart shove it up his ass and say you are not ready for the league.

#Bulls did what they had to do on a bad day for LBJ. Exploit the #Heat's soft middle for 2nd chances, & limit TOs. 16 more FGA mattered.

This is more than I thought he would say.

If you watch the replay with video LeBron kind of flopped. Butler foot did not really make much contact.

Miami going on cruise control during the regular season & thinking they can just "flip the switch" come playoff time has to bite them in the ass one of these days.

As always the Bulls are one LeBron injury away from being in the conference finals, so might as well keep beating the Heat.

No one thinks that.

Besides, there is always a chance, even if it is 1%. That's enough for me as a fan to root for it to happen. It's the whole point of enjoying sports. Otherwise, why don't we just give the Heat the title now?

So a 1.54% chance.

This doesn't even make sense. So you have to bet money on a team to be a fan of them?

I'm going to make a comment that if anyone else ever said in any other situation, I would completely ignore it... But Lebron really did look disinterested. Zero fta? Hmmm. Again, the thought of a fan watching a game and commenting on effort makes me feel icky, but it might actually be a relevant talking point in this game.

Would bet it happens in every sport that has a season longer than fifty games. Sometimes you just got bigger fish to fry and have the luxury of taking days off on the job.

Well, the Bulls beat them last year to end their streak. The Bulls can and have beaten Miami in the regular season. However, the Bulls have not had success beating them in the playoffs recently. The biggest thing last year was the Bulls had no Deng and Hinrich for the series against the Heat. So they had Nate Robinson and Marcus Teague at the point with Butler playing the 3. The difference is if the Bulls shut down LeBron, then Wade and Bosh are still going to get their points. Plus Miami is a total confidence team. If Miami goes on a run all of sudden the scrubs of Miami are lighting you up. Cole, Battier and Allen are dropping in threes like nothing. It's not that the Bulls can't beat them, but the margin of error for the Bulls is significantly lower for the Bulls to win the games. For the Bulls to win they need a good to great game from 6 or 7 different players. Miami can win every game with the big 3 scoring most of their points.

Of course, beating Miami yesterday doesn't mean anything in the big picture. If they do meet in the playoffs, Miami will win in 5 games. Just because fans enjoyed the game yesterday doesn't mean that most don't understand this, but I'm sure a good portion of the show will be name calling and taking jabs at Noah. Of course, showing any kind of enjoyment in this win for the Bulls is completely against the narrative - whenever Miami loses a game with national attention, the Heat don't care until the playoffs. When they do win (see the Heat's win over the Thunder a few weeks back), Bernstein acted as if they won a Finals game, and points to it as an example of LeBron's greatness.
