Just watched some SNL replay...

In the spirit of SNL, the writers try to confront of the elephant in the room, which is usually the hosts opinion of what the elephant is...

Lena seems to think people are upset or concerned with all the graphic nudity and sex in her show....

I didn't even bother watching this week. I may watch it in the future, if there's not a freshly painted wall to watch dry. The commercials, which usually are really bad, where the epitome of horrendousness to the highest degree.

Kate McKinnon is awesome - best female on the show by a mile. They should be pushing her to the front of the show along with TK. Frankly I could watch the show with those two and no one else.

Perhaps we'll be seeing less of Lena Dunham on screen in the future: The "Girls" talent says she might consider quitting acting to focus on some of her other work.

But don't worry, she's not going far.

"I don't know if I'm going to want to act anymore. I'm always relieved on the days I don't have to. I'd rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts," the Golden Globe-winning 27-year-old said in the April issue of Glamour, which hits newsstands March 18.

So, um, that Jewelry Party sketch from Saturday Night Live. If you guys were any good at hating Lena Dunham, which I humbly submit that you are not, you'd be going after her for this shit sandwich. She actually used SNL to shit on a fucking subreddit. To summarize: a MEN'S RIGHTS ADVOCATE gets dragged to a jewelry party by his girlfriend, who was imported into this country by the MRA because that's the only way MRAs can get women (this guy needed to ship her in to lose his virginity, they state). They discover that he holds protests against equal pay for women and shuts down Planned Parenthood clinics. They yell at him and chase him out, then the Venezuelan (played by a white girl) says she never liked him anyway and would rather have a boyfriend with big strong arms.

MRAs are scumbags, of course, and I'm never entirely sure what it is they're fighting for, but I'm not entirely sure what it is this current wave of feminism is fighting for, either, since at its core it just appears to be about well-educated, upper-middle-class white women fucking around on the internet to mock low-status white guys, which doesn't really accomplish anything. It calls back to what I said early in this thread, where women of all shapes and sizes are to be celebrated in Lena Dunham's world, but it'd be preferable if all men were doctors played by Patrick Dempsey, or at least in decent shape like Adam Driver. The writing on this sketch was so ham-fisted as to make Girls look like Mad Men, if you can imagine that. Just awful. Not ready for prime time, not ready for any time.

Personally, I put her in the Leary camp awhile ago, so I can't even comment on her recent actions as she is a PTFBer or Change the Channel (CTC'er Baby!), yet I can't help but think her influence will be seen this summer by the many fat chicks in short summer dresses with flabby arms and bad tats, that will try to proclaim how proud they are of themselves and my gag reflex at the site of them is my problem, not theirs.
