Need to go die in a fire. Some asshole stole my Doritos and bottle of water. Thanks for at least leaving the sandwich motherfucker. Might as well have taken that as well since I'll be hitting up a fast food joint now.

The lowest of the low

Who ARE these people? Seriously? Do they just keep checking the fridge til they see something they like? Do they eat in hiding?

We have had an issue here with peanut butter disappearing. Most likely its the cleaning people.

Goggles?

yeah I don't get this either. Seems like something that would happen with kids, not adults in a place of business.

But we have had it happen here recently as well. Someone had 2 pieces of pizza taken and another one had a Subway sandwich taken.

I'm sure they don't see anything morally wrong with it! It is their duty to steal lunches.

Stray pieces of pizza in a community fridge are fair game; default assumption being they're leftovers from a work-sponsored and paid-for lunch meeting.

I'm not going to cry about FavreFan's lunch when corporations are stealing millions from my personal bank account every day.

What kind of selfish, broke-ass, low-life prick co-opts company purchased pizza slices for themselves?

All important questions. I don't have answers. Although I do suspect Hatchetman would be one of these people.

People you work with everyday planned ahead and brought in containers to scoop up and take home leftovers from a work pizza lunch? That's so far beyond anything that you can only:

never understood this

i'm pretty particular about my food...why would i steal a sandwich from someone when they could have had the lunchmeat sitting out on the counter for a week , or made the sandwich after taking a dump and not washing their hands

Just to add to it

These people worked on the trading floor and they enjoyed NEVER going to the office (i.e. Leaving the minute the market closed) unless we had food

So they would have been damned if they were gonna stay 20 mins late for a free lunch.

They're all gone now.

We had a "lunch stealer" here at work for a while. It is a 3 shift - 24 hour place so it took a while to figure out who was doing the deed.

One guy in particular had his lunch taken one too many times and finally had enough.

Long story short, he "planted" a nice tupperware bowl of stew made with enough chicken wormer mixed in to keep a grown man in the bathroom for hours.

Out of 100+ employees, only one guy called in sick the day after the stew "disappeared" from the fridge. When he sheepishly returned after his sick day - he looked like he had battled the flu for a week.

Nothing was ever taken from that day on.
