I'd prefer not to directly link to a potential rapey related story ... could you give a blow by blow? [insert Hub giggle here]

This would force them to concentrate more on Sandusky and less on Paterno, which right or wrong, they've never shown a desire to do.

That's the same line of crap Helen Hart told the greenhorns in Calgary's Stampede back in the 70s before Stu gave them the ol' Sandusky stretch.

B&B are airing the 1:30 presser, but it really is pointless. I would understand if they were pro bowl players, but these 2 are far from special.

Dottie Sandusky was interviewed alongside filmmaker John Ziegler, who has spent years defending Jerry Sandusky and Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno's innocence.

God, fucking Ziegler won't go away, will he? He attaches himself to all the wrong things, like a leech that sucks shit.

Stretch to say lookalike

We were trying to decide who should play Sandusky in the movie. Leslie Nielson was mentioned, but he's dead.

Liam Neeson? Anthony Hopkins? John Ratzenberger?

It's a good thing bringing kids to press conferences wasn't big in the 90s otherwise Shawn Kemp pressers would've had to be held at Showbiz Pizza.

I was on the record against Rich Peverley-based chest-thumping as recently as this morning but I'll have to 180 on it if Petchesky's on another hockey-fan-shaming binge. Circle them wagons!

He certainly comes off like a petulant bitch with something personally on the line to defend.

He's cut from the same scolding cloth as Lambert, except that Deadspin enforces righteous indignation as a comprehensive editorial stance, so it's even worse.

EDIT: I'd add that while Lambert is much more annoying than Petchesky is, between the fact that he legitimately can't write a fucking sentence and that no one likes him, he's rather easily defused. Petchesky is a good writer and has the Deadspin echo chamber to back him up, so his double-agency is much more insidious.

wrong man

there was a cop who was with Rev. Tuttle when he appeared in the police station. In a later episode he had been promoted far up the ranks. I believe he is in the scene where Cohle gets yelled at for talking to Rev. Tuttle at his school. He is the commander who tell Cohle "you don't get to describe what kind of conversation you had".

Is Jerry Van Dyke still alive? Hell, his charcter on Coach may have been based on Sandusky.

It can't be understated just how wrong this show was on McCown. He just got $5-$7.5 million a year!

Beardown, take your victory lap.

According to bernstein, that's still not enough for the rest of his life. How can a man survive with less than $20 million in the bank?
