Well, put him in the Abe Vigoda pile then.

Why the hell did I think he was dead?

Have they said anything about how dumb they look on this yet?

I think Jesus Christ will return before that happens ... at least with any sincerity and/or without qualifications to their 'apology'.

Something like that, though I think they eventually said he may be worth more than a million a year.

I hope that doesn't happen. The whining from Bucky Chris when he visits the White House would be too much.

But 750K is all he was worth. It's not our fault that Lovie is stupid!!!

Yeah... um I mean, folks you have to look at it like, this isnt the NFL you grew up with. In point of fact, most of these GMs are football retahhhhhrded.

And anyway, why do you care WHAT. WE. THINK?!?!

Bernsie said something like...I was talking about backup money, not starters money.

Terry said the closest thing to a mea culpa..."maybe we don't know anything. Look at the money Josh McCown is getting"

A good specific question for them would be "didn't you predict that there was no one that would give this guy a 3 mil contract?"

I think he's hoping for those calls, actually. Anything for Dan to sound smarter and better than his listeners.

the problem is that those callers are usually black guys and Berns gives them a wider birth for some reason.

I'm pretty sure you wont hear many Bears fans longing for the return of Lovie Smith & rightly so. This McCown signing is one of the dumbest moves I have ever seen by an NFL team. They have a good young QB prospect in Mike Glennon who did a nice job in his rookie season. Leave it to Lovie to meddle with the Offense & fuck things up. Maybe he will sign Hester next & have him play WR?

Attention Bernsie and Hoge: Bringing in a bad safety to the Bears to create "competition" does not help your team. It means you have two bad players battling for a spot.

well they don't have enough safeties on the roster. I guess even a guy standing out there checking facebook is better than running the 10 man defense.

The Bears aren't done yet & they needed depth at the Safety position. The Defense is already better than it was last year.

Took until 3:36, but there's your PSU story. Someone at NBC needs to be #fired.

If Bernstein ever finds himself in a mangement position I wonder if there would be anyone left with all the firings and death threats.

I understand they need depth. That doesn't mean you run out on day 2 of free agency and sign quite possibly the worst available player at the position of need. It's unnecessary. And of course they aren't done. They have many more holes to fill.

Scorehead, the Bears were a better D after releasing Major Wright. That doesn't mean signing Major Wright part 2 is a good thing. I'd rather sign an UFA post draft then someone who has proven he's bad.

Now Bernsie has opened the Penn State door again.

Now they're trying to assume that Dottie Sandusky is speaking for the Paternoites. I think the Paternoites are bad and awful people, but none of them ever said that Jerry Sandusky didn't molest any kids.

Exactly. The Paternoites hate Sandusky more than Bernstein.
