But spending money on a pet is spending it on your kids. PRO TIP: children often like spending time with pets!

I do kind of understand Dan's perspective, though, because the next one will almost certainly speak better than this one.

I see what ya did there. Don't tell big fan though; according to him, Terry is the one moving the meters on that show.

The Bernsie & Mac battle seems to be heating up a bit. I'd prefer they didn't go down this path but its been building for a while.

Latest jab appeared to happen right around the 5:50 mark today with Bernsie basically saying someone will be fired/gone soon from the Score and that will be a 'day to celebrate'. He was giddy and his tone was pure full on taunt (not taint). It was typical passive aggressive behavior from the very talented but can't help himself asshole Dan Bernstein.

I'm guessing this got 'real' when Mac and Spiegs did the Pecota parody. Terry and Dan can rip on everyone but don't seem to care when the tables are turned.

Kind of funny that since that bit, Mac has been featured on every single W.Y.C. segment.

After this firing, Bernstein will still be there and acting like he is on top. No one can convince me otherwise, but Bernstein pissed away what could have been a great career that was nationwide. His early days by himself he was smart, informative, and a good listen. He then evolved into what he is now...a total asshole.

He could have wrote his ticket anywhere, instead he is now "Senior Columnist" on a website no one reads.

Terry is worse than Dan. Dan is an idiot prick who thinks he's smart. Terry can't possibly agree with everything Dan says... the odds of that are astronomically low, and they are two very different people. But Terry is a lazy pussy who enables him... a coward who stands for nothing. Hell, Terry is probably a dog-lover.

If I were his family, I'd be ashamed.

Maybe it is just me or maybe wishful thinking but Terry seems to stick up just a touch more. I really did not think he liked how Dan was treating Drinky last evening for example.

Correct. About two weeks ago Terry or management or everyone decided it would be best if Terry challenged a little bit.
You know, add some contrast to the proceedings if felt strongly about something. And wouldn't you know it, the show actually got worse. Terry's command of the red flag paled in comparison to Lovie's and the show just came to a screeching halt at times. This experiment seems to have ended as good ole' Uncle Terry is back again.

Also, as I mentioned last night... Mitch or someone had a talk with B&B. The condescension and lambasting callers for starting how are you/how you doing is all gone. I didn't notice until last week but all callers and the how are you are getting a pass.

Its been said before here but what makes you think Bernstein wants a national show? He already has a great career. He's made it. $500,00 or so a year to do 5 hours, no show prep, and gets to be an asshole on the air and still bring in ratings. I give him credit actually. Stays in his hometown, zero travel required, can take his kids to school and still see them after he gets home. Why would he want more than that or have to dial it down to do a national show? He gets to do what he wants right here with little or no effort. Sounds like a great gig to me.

Agreed BRogue. I've never understood the whole "Bernstein wishes he'd done more/wasted his opportunity/regrets not being a doctor" thing. He gets paid like a doctor and works 5 hours a day making fun of people. You really couldn't ask for more. He's still a turd though.

This is true. He did not go greedy and forget family etc to go big. I give him that. Or he is a scared pussy afraid he couldn't do it.

Exactly right. Have pointed this out several times over the years. Never made sense to me either.

I just listened to the end of the show where Bernsie was saying he can't wait "until something else is gone" because "he'll be free to say things". Do you guys really think he was talking about Mac? If so that is pretty cowardly (which would be consistent) but do you think Mac has pissed him off to that extent?

I get paid like a doctor and pretend to be a doctor here for 5 hours a day making fun of people. That's pretty good.

Agreed but who else could it be ? They routinely rip on Les already. Abbatacola perhaps ?

The only satisfying payoff to that is Terry.

Doesn't matter what you make. If you're at Thanksgiving dinner with a family full of lawyers and doctors and your claim to fame is Friday Fung and Tournament of Bad, you're gonna have some "unresolved issues."

He did say "something" else would be gone I believe. Perhaps it's not a person but something with some connection with the show or station. Maybe the CBS one minute commentaries starring Feinstein and those other morons are ending.

That's pretty good. Probably right.

They haven't been too shy on ripping on that, though.

What about "10 hours of glory"?

Had the same thought but CBS as a parent isn't going away. For the record, I like DB. Yes, he's an asshole but a very funny one and, for the most part, he's pretty entertaining. Like I said earlier, I wish they didn't have to go down the petty path.

Oh, Dan's capable of being absolutely awesome. Most of us wouldn't be here if he weren't. Show's been in a comfortable rut for years now, though.

You know, I was once the president of the B&B ALS. President! Now I mock Dan's silliness with rudimentary photoshops. This is what it's come to.

Sure....years and years and years ago, around the time they were spinning the 1's and the 2's during the noon hours.

The show has been awful for years....many, many sad years.
