Rough week for a boy and his dog.

First Josh Mccowen and now Howard/Noah.

There'll be lots of Howard bashing with no credit to Noah. Mark my words.

They will probably make fun of a handicapped guy and wish death upon his dog. Just don't call Dan out or authorities will be alerted.

Terry will nod a lot. He might even nod off.

Oh, also something about hating Mac and taking him to task after he's far away and can't defend himself.

I wouldn't listen.

I don't even think SHARK started show threads this early.

I care deeply about my dog, so I'm probably not worthy of listening to this show.

Same here. My 2-year old pup wouldn't walk last week. Took her to the vet. I was ready to shoot her on the spot, but luckily the vet said she'll be fine in a couple days.

Dont worry, Cubs baseball can kill her this year.

Whatever one might think about Vinny Del Negro, could you really believe bernstein knows more about hoops than he does?

The Bears were "annoyed" that Josh McCown was so good last year so they didn't want him back?

I don't believe that's true.

I kind of enjoyed the caller ripping on them and telling that that "'your guy' is just you guys in your basement with your pants around your ankles."

It didn't really make sense but I laughed.

it can't be. I couldn't believe that came out of both their mouths. What a transparent attempt to gain some kind of ground back.

It's just a stupid thought. The fans didn't love Josh McCown because he's Josh McCown. They loved him because he performed great when he was in there for the most part.

But, it seems the Bears would rather get someone who would perform more poorly because great performances were "annoying."

Agreed, it makes no sense at all. Even Cutler couldnt have been annoyed. In the past when he got injured the season was over. Last year he got injured and the back up actually held down the fort for him.... You know, sort of exactly what a back up QB should do.

Josh, you played a 5 game stretch that was on par with the greatest passing displays in franchise history. You were the offensive player of the week during this period, you outperformed our franchise quarterback, and you are the main reason we were able to nearly make the playoffs. I think it's obvious why we will have to let you go.

Oooohh am I really about to drink the B&B Kool-Aid on their Josh McCown thoughts? Ugh. Well here goes. For as good as Josh McCown was I don't see how it would make sense for the Bears to offer what the Bucs did to keep him as a backup. One for cost reasons, two for not wanting to upset Cutler. Why commit that amount of money when it could and should be better spent elsewhere?

As far as the Bears being "annoyed" with all the McCown talk, well that's a different story.

you didn't listen to the show. Their inside guys say the Bears were not even interested in offering him a contract. Period. Even before the got the offer from the Bucs. In other words, they wouldn't have offered him a deal even if he didn't have one otherwise.

This is what they said.

Well that's dumb, to not even attempt to make an offer. But I don't think it's a stretch to assume that Bear's brass likely knew they wouldn't be able to re-sign McCown after what he did over those five games.

They probably never made an offer, just told him thanks and if for some reason you arent getting offers come back to us and we will make you a deal.

I agree that's probably what they did. It unfortunately is the opposite of what Dan was intimating.

I think everyone agrees you wouldn't break the bank on a backup. It's the "annoyed" part that's ridiculous.

jesus christ man, bernstein is on the muscle going against these anti-vaccination "loons" and "cretins" by saying that non-vaccinated kids shouldn't be allowed in mainstream society. good god man.... i take it that he's a purell nut who is constantly cleaning up his hands and everything because OMFG THERE COULD BE EVIL DISEASES COMING TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and now, shit, he's saying that diseases are mutating and coming worse because people AREN'T getting vaccinated? how does that work? last i checked if a disease is able to infect people left and right it's going to keep on keeping on, however, if you keep vaccinating everyone and making everyone immune to a disease and its very existence is threatened THEN it evolves into something to overtake all of the vaccines that have stopped it from surviving from host to host....

so now because a disease is able to spread like normally, NOT getting vaccinated is what's causing it to evolve and come around twice as strong? huh? so is the thought that the disease spreads to hosts all willy nilly and then when it's in there it's like "HELL YEAH NO VACCINE AGAINST ME I KNOW I'D BETTER EVOLVE INTO A SUPERVIRUS BECAUSE EVEN THO THE NORMAL MEANS OF SPREADING HAS DONE JUST FINE I GOTTA BE PROACTIVE LIKE DUSTY BAKER B4 ME AND BE READY TO JUMP ALL OVER THESE NON-VACCINATED PEOPLE!?!?" --- comeon dan, that's a flat out lie.... seriously man, why the fuck would not being vaccinated cause a disease to mutate and evolve? why is it mutating and evolving... because it's infecting people and IT'S. A. DISEASE. IT. WILL. KILL. YOU. ?!?!?!

there's now a 100% chance of you getting a disease if you're exposed to it enough and you're not vaccinated. wow. i take it the math is in on it, eh? goddamn dude, talk about bernstein being a mouthpiece for the establishment / FOTS-with-responsibilities and etc.... he's decided that whatever the government says goes, and while i'm not on the autism sides of vaccines i'm on the "i fucking hate needles and therefore try to avoid getting as many needles stuck in me as i can possibly avoid" crowd and as such, yeah, when i was a kid i had to get certain vaccines to go to school and whatever.... but i aint getting my flu shots and whatnot.... and despite that i dont get the flu, but by bernstein logic because i didn't get my flu vaccine i've now caused the flu to go out and mutate and comes 2x as strong and nasty because by providing a very eligible host for the original flu virus, i've gone and caused it to evolve for no reason whatsoever. yeap.

and now these lack of vaccines are making society more dangerous. good god man. every time i pass by walgreens and see that they're offering flu shots and i say "no thanks" i should shame myself into going nad getting one because every day i don't i'm risking the death of the bernstein family by willing that flu bug to mutate into superflu simply because i didn't get my vaccine.
