That does not make any sense. Every flight has masks that come down, that is a huge part of the attendants video or demonstration on every flight.

how many maylasian flights have you been on? theyre saying the reason its been a week to even get info is because mylasia has not been cooperating with the NTSB or the US government at all. They are now, because i would imagine we told them they have to comply or else.

not saying youre wrong, but the guy didnt mention anything about passenger air masks.

Not been on any maylasian flights, but I have been on a lot of flights, and even a couple from a badly run Indonesian airline and even those schmucks had masks. I cannot see an airline that has been in operation for so long not having drop down masks

I like this theory also. Plane is flying too low, too fast and slams a mountain on a remote/uninhabited island and essentially disappears into the earth.

If the plane hits the water, something...somewhere, floats by a boat somehow.

the jet fuel would send off a smoke signal for days though...

he also said if there was an explosion that instantaneously depressurized the cabin, passengers would have less then 5 seconds before they passed out...

They searched the co-pilot's home today. Could be the crew.

They overwhelmed the pilots with their mult army?

Another question is why the Malaysian or Chinese military did not send an interceptor flight to find the plane once the transponders were turned off. How a plane could fly for 5-6 hours with no one bothering to go find it is really puzzling.

Based on the amount of fuel the plane had (8+ hours' worth), and the sophistication of the pilots, I think the possibility they landed the plane somewhere is real. Perhaps not the likeliest scenario, but I'd give it at least a 10% chance.

Having said that, I agree with Ike in that if this thing did crash in the Indian Ocean, it is likely we will never find or recover it...which may be what the hijackers intended. As much as 9/11 was a pyrotechnic display, making a plane full of people vanish without a trace is almost as disturbing.

Well the tin hat people at prisonplanet and above top secret are having a field day with this one.
Even though it is unlikely some are speculating it was taken to Iran ,they are going to load it up with some NBC stuff then fly it to Tel Aviv and blow it up. They are saying there was a flight simulator in the home of the pilot.

in another shocker, its being said there will likely be a big push for airliners to have emergency transponders that cannot be turned off by the cockpit.

Quote:
The pilot of the missing Malaysia Airlines jet is pictured in a T-shirt with a Democracy is Dead slogan as fears emerge he could have hijacked the plane as an anti-government protest.

Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was a fervent supporter of his country's opposition leader who was jailed for homosexuality - illegal in Malaysia - only hours before flight MH370 vanished with 239 passengers and crew on board, the Sunday Mirror can reveal.

And in a new twist, it emerged that the pilot's wife and three children moved out of the family's home the day before the plane's disappearance.

Ok. So if he took this plane to an airstrip, how do you feed 230 hostages for a week? That is a lot of McNuggets!

So the plane wasn't vaccinated against smallpox?

You would think the place they would check for the plane is where the plane icon is on the map.

I'm finding the pilot suicide theory to be the most plausible as more time continues to pass without any breaking news. Crashing in the middle of an ocean while flying undetected, to me, explains the lack of discovery of any wreckage. If the plane went toward the North/NW corridor, I think we would have known by now, especially given the bases and military installations as you get closer to the subcontinent and central Asia. IMO, the only weak spot to this theory, absent any yet to be announced directly conflicting evidence, is why the flight appeared to evade radar detection.

Why suicide though? Cuz he was pissed off? Both pilots in on it? I mean the longer this goes on I agree its more likely its in the drink but I also think it could be a fuck you I've got your plane try and find it scenario too. Can't explain how,you keep 200 people quiet though. The climb to 45k killed them I'm assuming

A few of those must be the Atlantis airport.

No one is going to claim the government is setting up the pilot as a patsy?

Good points. I'm not sure why, but if the plane is in the middle of nowhere at the bottom of the Indian Ocean, then suicide could explain that, but so could other reasons I guess...could have also been criminal intent gone bad. The part about the passengers is also partly why I don't think the plane landed somewhere, unless as you pointed out, they died by other means. Motivations aside, I think the absence of the plane and/or wreckage is the biggest indication yet that this plane did not go north/northwest. It's hard for me to believe it can pass over the subcontinent undetected, but flying over and into somewhere like Myanmar or remote provinces of China is I guess more believable than further west.

If you were going to take the plane and crash it, why would you crash it in the ocean where it's impossible to find? I would think you'd want to run it into a crowded area, or at the very least an area where everyone can see the spectacle.

Suicidal intent is as inscrutable as anything else. Who knows? It's happened before. There's no precise logic or formula to this; things can be either structured (suicide note/video, etc.) or completely random. Looking to me like the latter if it is indeed suicide. But of course crashing in the middle of nowhere doesn't necessarily imply suicidal intent.

Saw a CNBC special on how to turn off the Transponder (For all you youngsters and future hijackers out there), pretty simple, press down and turn 4 times, so it cant be turned off by Accident.

Here is a suggestion. TRANSPONDERS SHOULDNT BE TURNED OFF!
