I said a couple of years ago that Rose is already the second best Bull ever. He hadnt proved it yet but it was a lock. Rose was a closer, jumper, shooter, scorer. He was a man. A tough Chicago kid. Now he gets hurt buttoning his suit.

Im an idiot. Sorry OKC. Sorry Pip.

Pip played. Other than that couple of secs, Pip was a warrior for 90 feet every night. I dont recall Pippen ever missing any games that often. He took a pounding every night usually guarding the best player on the other team. Rose has had multiple injuries at such a young age besides the knees.

I'm convinced Rose will never ever be the same. He had all of that time off last year and he shot like shit before he broke. Again. If he cant shoot, he has to go to the hole. If he goes to the hole he jumps, lands or cuts funny and he blows out something.

I can't fault the Bulls for wanting to build around him, but I think everyone realizes now that he is not that guy. Pippen probably could be looked at the same way. A guy who is a piece you add to win a championship, not the guy that wins it for you.

The upside is that Rose is only 25. The downside is that the guy seems to have a lot of heart and will continue to get injured playing at a high level for the current coaching staff. I don't have the answers, but IMHO, I think the Bulls will need to part ways with him sooner than later. Bulls fans have turned on him, whether or not its deserved. It would take winning it all to fix his reputation, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Pippen's reputation should have been tarnished after the Kukoc last shot, but he had a lot saved up in the bank from several trophies to come away clean.

I dont think you can say Rose is something you cant or shouldnt have built around. Without the Miami Heat thing happening they could have easily won a title with Rose as the main guy

Up until the last injury I would say Rose was definitely a guy you build around. I just don't think that is the case anymore with his body breaking apart when he plays his style.

Right. The year they lost to Miami, if they had that team a year earlier (before the Lebron move) they probably win the title or go to the Finals at least

Bingo.

Jordan was a 1 and a 1a

Pippen was the 1b.

On of the best of all time.

Pippen was no John Starks.

Pippen jumped from outside the box and went through Ewing. If you look at the gif Starks doesn't touch anyone.

What years in his career did Pippen suffer migranes during the slightest hint of physical play?

What year in his career is Rose currently in?

Imagine if we wrote off Scottie as he sat there on the bench with a towel on his head.

The truth is, there were many instances where Scottie simply did not answer the bell in the first half of his career. I'm not talking about just playing badly. I'm talking about simply opting out. He matured.

 Exactly. Those 2 dunks are not even in the same league.

Absolutely sick. But I prefer Jordan's simply because of the move leading up to the dunk.

The migraine game was game 7 of the 1990 ECF. Pippen contributed basically nothing the entire game. Jordan was really the only guy who showed up for that game.

Right. One was defended by the best that ever was, the best that ever will be and one was defended by Patrick Ewing.

Better watch the gif again. BJ was guarding Starks and MJ does not even come into the picture until he is already dunking.

MJ and Pip dunked OVER Ewing. Starks goes over no one.

not even close to the same

Starks wasn't defended by Jordan on this play. He was defended by BJ Armstrong. The play is overrated because people think Starks dunked on MJ when Jordan entered the play at the very end when Starks had practically dunked it already.

Love that Pip dunk but two things. One, if Ewing wasn't such a pud worried about his manhood could have not left his feet and it would have been a charge. Two, and again it is awesome but Pip get teed up nowadays for standing over him.

I think he did get teed up on that play because not only did he walk over him but he also kind of taunted him afterwards.

That's not a bad thing though. Probably the most worthwhile T of all time.

Starks dunk is not even in the same league. And he probably only finishes that twice in 18 tries.

Here's an underrated Pippen dunk people forget about. Occurred in the 55 point MJ game at Madison Square Garden
