As we discussed a week or two ago, Kid A and Amnesiac owe as much to jazz as they do to electronic, if not more: National Anthem, Life in a Glass House, Morning Bell, Dollars and Cents, You and Whose Army?, Pyramid Song, Kinetic (it samples Miles Davis), The Amazing Sounds of Orgy, Cuttooth, In Limbo to an extent, Knives Out to a lesser extent, the coda of Optimistic.

Bombay Bicycle Club - So Long See You Tomorrow

I can't help it but I just wanna do finger-guns to the beat in "Home By Now." Maybe you will too!

Album title sounds like they combined Rilo Kiley's Take Offs and Landings with also Rilo Kiley's The Execution of All Things, but I won't hold it against them; I think I heard a song off it and liked it.

If you already like elbow, you won't think they've reinvented their sound, but you won't be disappointed.
I happen to love them, therefore I love this album after first listen.
Can't wait to finally see them live, besides webcasts. But I think I'll be at the bar during John Grant's opening set, not paying attention.

I'm not saying anything interesting here, but Sea Change was really important to me, and this album is a perfect bookend, if not a perfect album.

Me either. He got off to a bad start with donkey noises and lasers and stuff. I never really gave him much of a chance after that.

I think his new one is worth you taking it for a spin. Pretty mellow but enjoyable. It's no Vampire Weekend
but I liked it.

RPB is trying his hardest to get bagels to like Beck, yet you come in and kill any chance of that with one small sentence.

hahahahaha yeah fuck Vampire Weekend, they suck. McIndie.

Yeah, Beck's discography is a little daunting for someone who's mentally wired to be a completist but unsure of the quality therein. It's the same thing that's kept me from getting into Ryan Adams, 'cept I know he sucks.

Foster the People. I don't really get what they're going for. They're like the Third Eye Blind of that safe-as-milk 2000s "electronically tinged" rock. Good singles here and there, but who could devote himself to an entire Foster the People album?
