IMO, the only weak spot to this theory, absent any yet to be announced directly conflicting evidence, is why the flight appeared to evade radar detection.

Why suicide though? Cuz he was pissed off? Both pilots in on it? I mean the longer this goes on I agree its more likely its in the drink but I also think it could be a fuck you I've got your plane try and find it scenario too. Can't explain how,you keep 200 people quiet though. The climb to 45k killed them I'm assuming

A few of those must be the Atlantis airport.

No one is going to claim the government is setting up the pilot as a patsy?

Good points. I'm not sure why, but if the plane is in the middle of nowhere at the bottom of the Indian Ocean, then suicide could explain that, but so could other reasons I guess...could have also been criminal intent gone bad. The part about the passengers is also partly why I don't think the plane landed somewhere, unless as you pointed out, they died by other means. Motivations aside, I think the absence of the plane and/or wreckage is the biggest indication yet that this plane did not go north/northwest. It's hard for me to believe it can pass over the subcontinent undetected, but flying over and into somewhere like Myanmar or remote provinces of China is I guess more believable than further west.

If you were going to take the plane and crash it, why would you crash it in the ocean where it's impossible to find? I would think you'd want to run it into a crowded area, or at the very least an area where everyone can see the spectacle.

Suicidal intent is as inscrutable as anything else. Who knows? It's happened before. There's no precise logic or formula to this; things can be either structured (suicide note/video, etc.) or completely random. Looking to me like the latter if it is indeed suicide. But of course crashing in the middle of nowhere doesn't necessarily imply suicidal intent.

Saw a CNBC special on how to turn off the Transponder (For all you youngsters and future hijackers out there), pretty simple, press down and turn 4 times, so it cant be turned off by Accident.

Here is a suggestion. TRANSPONDERS SHOULDNT BE TURNED OFF!

Case solved:

Wouldn't it be right up Ovomits alley if the highjacked 777 was taken so they could use it to deliver a nuclear device into American airspace and detonate it onto American soil....then Ovomit would have his reason to put us all under Marshal Law.....I know it is a way out there theory, but maybe that is why the US investigators are being led astray and not being treated seriously in the investigation.....just a thought.....

Just saw that, I think that's the same pic a bunch of Redditers had the other day. Anyone know if they actually researched that pic?

Would not surprise me. I have wondered why there was not more talk about them in this deal. Everything I have read regarding them says they saw no sign of the plane. With their history why would we believe them?

Link? To get there you'd have to avoid detection over the Indo-Pak border, which is heavily militarized, let alone cross over India itself, unless you took an oceanic root over navy forces from the south. Highly implausible, imo. Plus the closer you get to the nuclear powers in the subcontinent, you have to consider US and NATO presence as well, and Russian presence just above in central Asia.

If you google it there are a bunch of stories alluding to the possibility. I didnt mean to imply anything concrete. That's why I put a question mark on it.

I hear ya. Yeah I hadn't heard it yet so that's why I wanted to know. I'll search for it. To state the obvious I think it'd be absolutely stunning if this jet turned up anywhere west of remote provinces in China or Myanmar, or on land anywhere really. The further northwest you go, the more you run into decent/sufficiently good military tech. I'm still sticking to the crash in the ocean theory personally...for now.

every theory out there as to what happened to the plane has holes in it.

I still cannot believe that if this thing did crash into the ocean that at some point in the past how many days that some debris would be found.

This is one crazy situation.

Agree on weaknesseses to all theories, but the no debris thing is easier to explain I think if it's established that no system was tracking the plane as it allegedly flew south. It's nearly impossible to locate debris in an ocean that vast without general coordinates to work with.

I know, but there are literally people everywhere looking for stuff. Surely something would be found.

I still think it is more plausible that it either landed somewhere remote or crashed into mountain type area that would be hard to find.

there are vast swaths of nothing all around the indian ocean. it could very well have crashed on land. i do also agree it still could have landed and everyone was just killed or put in north korean prison camps.

If the plane crashed in the ocean and they eventually find the passengers' cell phones, would any data (photos, texts, e-mails, etc.) be recoverable if they were under water?

Do we have a bag of rice as big as a plane?

No idea, but I think it's a great question. The possibility that we may never know what happened is more likely with each passing day.

Yeah you could get info off the sim cards and the phones memory.
Here is where I find things strange
1) Phone calls going through ,ringing with no answer.
2)Phones showing being logged in for hours on their version of AIM.
3) The ping of the engine for several hours
4)The time between the shut offs of the tracking equipment.
5) The apparent way the maneuvers where done suggests someone who knew what they where doing ,unlike 9/11 where the hijackers had trouble flying the planes nice and level.

Now if we go full tin hat the plane could be in either Pakistan(Cocksuckers one and all),One of the smaller Stains(They like to blow stuff up), Most far out:Diego Garcia. Look it up it is a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean used by the Brits and Americans for basing. We keep our Prepositioning stuff there. Runway is long enough as the B-52s that fly to Iraq and Afghanistan fly out of there. I really think this was more than a simple suicide by plane. The timing is too convenient.
