I could Wikipedia this show and see what the hell it is (all I know is Judd apatow and this dumpy chick are involved and its called girls) but Id prefer it with a csfmb twist
A child of privilege rounds up some other children of privilege to put on a TV show about children of privilege who move to Brooklyn. They are, in order of importance, a dumpy aspiring author (the rich white version of "aspiring rapper") whose parents teach at Michigan State, a queen-bee uber-WASP whose parents are also of high status, an overly sincere Jewish girl who likes pink things and also has rich parents, and the globetrotting, drug-doing cousin of the overly sincere Jewish girl, who for some reason is English and devoid of any Semitic traits, at least relative to the daughter of David Mamet; it's to be presumed that hers are the richest parents of all. They struggle to find themselves and deal with the issues of u-m-c white girls in their twenties. The dumpy author on-and-off dates an aspiring actor (the other rich white version of "aspiring rapper") who walks around shirtless and masturbates impulsively. He is said to be an artistic genius, but this is a big-time Informed Trait, as nothing he ever does demonstrates genius except for other characters remarking on what a genius he is. WASP bitch dates a nice guy but then leaves him because he doesn't disrespect her when he fucks her, a realization she makes when the short gentleman from The Lonely Island, here playing an aspiring artist (#3!) goes up to her at a party and says he'd fuck her. This turns the WASP bitch on so much that she immediately steals away to a public bathroom in order to masturbate. Her life is then made difficult by breaking up with and getting back together with but then really breaking up with the nice guy who doesn't pull her hair hard enough when they're fucking or something. The nice Jewish girl finds herself dating a bohemian coffee shop manager several years her senior who looks like David Schwimmer, but becomes outraged when he moves into her apartment (that her parents finance) because he has no place of his own at his advanced age. The flaky English chick meets some Wall Street creep, impulsively marries him, and then divorces him. Dumpy author gets an e-book deal but then loses it. I think that pretty much sums up the show, or at least the first season. I haven't started the third yet; it's not really a priority.
