Most of their remotes are in the south suburbs or exurbs. They rarely go to the north shore or northwest burbs.

They can barely get Terry out of Mokena. You want him to go to Deerfield???

Agreed, though I would take your point one step further. He doesn't merely allow himself to be used; rather, he seems to crave Bernstein's attention and condescension as a form of validation.

I don't know. I think Mike just plays it straight and everyone finds it funny because its foreign to them. I find Mike interesting and it appears others in his world do as well.

I like Mike when he handicaps. Anecdotally he's pretty solid.

Is Terry's dream retirement of hanging out at the track every day more comforting to everyone?

Murph would rightfully disagree with your assertion.

I don't really see the 1:1 comparison of Mike to Bob, either in who they are or how I suspect they are viewed either by the general audience or the B&B on-air personalities.

One is being mocked for being drunk. The other is being mocked for being mentally deficient.

No. Mike isn't pathetic. He's actually smarter than you think. Just drunk every day. So what? He's responsible. He mostly drinks at home and when he goes out he gets cabs or his wife picks him up. And I don't think he is desperate for Berntein's attention. That would be drinky. Mike is just drinking at home, listening to B&B and calls them every so often.

As for this little twitter argument, drinky is the pathetic one. Man, without being a star, drinky talks like he's one. He answers the phones for the love of god.
