Not exactly how you presented it, but still
I heard him talking over last weekend about him too, and it almost seemed like you can pencil him into the all star game this year.

Thats especially embarassing for a guy like him with so much experience.

Especially when anyone with a brain knows Kris Bryant is the best player in baseball.

Yes, the AAA ASG.

Cubs fans should be offended that Baez will not be on the team. All we heard about is how much revenue will be coming in while at the same time costs have dramatically gone down. They should have more than enough money saved up to secure him long term in two years if he pans out.

I am a believer in Baez offensively.

Saying that about LeBron right before his rookie year would have been nuts.
Well, he didn't exactly say it. Just from his description, you might as well think he'd be a star on the team from day one. It wasn't even like he was talking about his talent. He was talking about how good he is now.

The Cubs traded OF Trevor Gretzky to the Angels for 1B Matthew Scioscia.

What was your favorite moment of the Trevor Gretzky era?

Did he really name yet another person after food?

That is showing what is going on in the subliminal level

He did. Everybody on the show told him how awful the nickname was.

Valbuena and Lake don't want to give up their starting roles.

-Jason Parks chatted at BP, and among his thoughts: (1) Jen-Ho Tseng was the most impressive non-Big Four/Alcantara guy he saw on the Cubs’ back fields, and would now be a top ten Cubs prospect in his mind (though behind C.J. Edwards, at least, in the pitching pecking order); (2) Javy Baez playing second base – if and when he does at Iowa – means nothing about the Cubs’ long-term plans for him defensively (in other words, when he’s ready to face big league pitching, you have to find a spot for him, and then you can change things up later); (3) Parks still can’t get too excited about Dan Vogelbach, despite the physical transformation, because he’s still a 1B/DH guy, and those types don’t intrigue Parks until they show they can mash at the upper levels of the minors; (4) Parks would rank last year’s top Venezuelan signing, shortstop Gleyber Torres, over last year’s top Dominican signing, Eloy Jimenez; (5) Parks doesn’t see Kyle Hendricks sustaining success at the big league level; (6) Jorge Soler remains the weakest of the Cubs’ big prospects because of the rawness and in-game adjustment issues.

-The money question an answer? Parks was asked over/under 700 total career homers in MLB for Javy Baez and Kris Bryant combined, and he went with the over. Yowsa. I don’t even think I’d be that ballsy.

He's essenitally saying one of them will make the HoF right?

It would be hard to find two guys combining for 700 and one of them not being in the hall of fame

Bryant went yard and also has a walk.

In AAA Vitters has gone yard and has 2 of the teams 4 hits. Alcantara has a double. Baez and Jackson are 0'fer and have 4 k's between the 2 of them. Rusin got lit and this old cub scotty moore hit a bomb off him.

Bryant has gone yard again!!!

CJ Edwards started and wen 4 strong innings allowing 1 hit. I think he had 4 k's.

Soler is out for at least 7 days with a hammy.

Starting to get the feeling that Soler will be injury-prone, and a bust. Almora is also starting to get that injury-prone label, but I think he has more of a chance to be good. I just hope when the time comes, they trade the right prospect.

Almora isn't hurt. He has just had a few weird minor injuries.

Baez did just got tossed from the Iowa game after striking out for the 6th time in 3 games with zero hits. At least they put Brett Jackson out of his misery and on the bench. Iowa getting pasted for the 3rd straight game against the memphis AAA cards.

I am sick of hearing the name Josh Vitters. He was drafted 7 years ago. I'd say he's not going to be a MLB player.

He has been hitting alright the last 2 seasons.....and then his legs fall apart. He will be selling real estate and coaching a high school in SoCal within 2 years.
