All I need to do is get out of the suburbs, SH. You can find a better meal in Louisiana, Texas, or North Carolina for $8/plate than you can for $30/plate in the suburbs or $500/plate at Alinea. Country folk know their food. City and suburb folk know their upcharges.

YES. That's it! I don't need Naperville, no, let me hop into my car and slide on over to TEXAS, right quick, for a decent meal!

That's the ticket!

If only I knew it was that easy!

Blob of carbohydrates!

Suburbs are totally lame, dude!

Faux culture!

It was good, it wasn't terrible

I actually agree with this.

Hands down the worst movie I ever paid to see in a theater was Pootie Tang. I honestly have
no idea what convinced me to see that. Walked out 20 minutes into it and went into another
movie. Only time I have ever done that.

Great topic.

Duke of Hazzard is the only movie I walked out on in theaters. Shutter Island and the Departed were terrible fuckin movies that I wish I would have.

The Departed could have been better, but in no way was it terrible

You're missing the greatness that is Pootie Tang.

Haha! That's one of my terrible 3. My friend said he'd heard of this hilarious movie called Pootie Tang. I'd never heard of it. I wanted to walk out so bad, but he refused to go, and he was driving.

The other two are Batman & Robin, and the worst movie ever created: 8 Crazy Nights.

Bowfinger. It was a terrible movie, and I remember being in a bad mood. The combination of the two led to the worst movie experience I have ever had.

For the record, there are plenty of places in the suburbs that serve fresh, authentic food. Not as many as the city, but still a lot.

There is awesome food to be had all over the city for 8 bucks/plate or less--if you're not afraid of ethnic neighborhoods. Uptown (Vietnamese, Thai), Albany Park (Middle Eastern, Mexican), Rogers Park (Indian, Pakistani, Persian), Little Village (Mexican), Milwaukee/Belmont (Polish), Edison Park (Italian), Chinatown (Chinese), various Far South Side enclaves (BBQ) all offer good-to-amazing food at bargain prices.

Sa da tay!

Pootie Tang will draw you a picture of how he gonna kick your ass, then mail it to you ten days in advance. The picture gets there right? You're goin', "What the hell is this?" and then Pootie Tang knocks on your door, Promptly kicks your ass and you still won't know what happened to you!

This board definitely needs a Pootie Tang mult!

Unforgiven. I was embarrassed for Clint, I was embarrassed to have convinced my now wife to go with me & I was embarrassed that I paid to watch that dull piece of shit. I was even more embarrassed to have sat through the entire 2.5 hours hoping for at least 4-5 good minutes in a row to try and salvage it despite being asked by the wife to please leave early.

And yes, I know all the arguments claiming its cinematic greatness & how it was a well acted, heavily textured film. But it bored the hell out of me.

I have to admit that if I'm lounging around eating & drinking at home, I have to watch that dumb assed movie. It's a guilty pleasure(almost my Shawshank if you will)...but I'd never have thought to actually pay to see it in the show.

Hoop Dreams and Casino were my two worst expericences

Too young to appreciate the point of Hoop Dreams and got pulled out of Casino because the kid who drove had a curfew and didnt know the movie was long.
