I'm willing to give the human immune system more credit for its abilities than you are.

We have one child that was never vaccinated, and two that only received one series of shots. All are incredibly healthy.

It's obviously a false premise to start from; If you don't get all or any immunizations then your child and others will be adversely affected.

We know what life was like before vaccines. We know what life is like right now. Measles still exists in large numbers. Why didn't the areas of the world with lower vaccination rates cure it on their own?

At an individual level, there may or may not be repercussions. There are people who never wear a seat belt that won't ever be injured by that poor decision. As a society, the repercussions are scary, especially for those who do have medical conditions that make immunization impossible.

That's the ironic thing here. The anti-vaccination movement is most damaging to those who can't get the vaccination for actual reasons and not made up ones.

If he had strep would he give credit to that miracle of human immunity or go get some antibiotics?

Are children are exposed on a daily basis to those that were exposed to the measles.

If they are healthy, it has something to do with diet, exercise and other things.

The decimation of polio started before Salk. and CDC numbers bear that out.

Small pox is eradicated. Someone esle already posted that.

AIDS is caused by behaviors.

Read up on the HPV before you start pushing that.

And the the immune system doesn't need medicinal help to fight strep throat. I can speak personally to that.

The staph infections are a problem caused by medicine.

AIDS is not caused by "behaviors". It's caused by a virus.
I had strep throat for about 2 weeks before seeking medical attention. By then it had spread to my sinus, my ears and I was running a 104 fever. I was told that if I had waited much longer I could have died.
I suppose those folks who died from Ebola and swine flu and avian flu just didn't have enough faith in the human immune system.
