I probably am. My Big Ten snobbery. I'm trying to work on my homerism.

Well, I have an oddly large Marquette alum group among family and friends.

Judging by the student body, Marquette is as much a Chicago school as U of I.

I don't think they should be devoting significant time to either, though.

They fucking suck with their stammering and stuttering and their producer Dustin is a little mini Bernstein at about 1/8th the salary. I'd honestly rather sit in silence than listen to these two out of touch twats talk sports.

Dustin and Bernstein could not be more dissimilar.

Yup. From what I remember, this Dustin person takes the Extreme Meatball stance to the point where even the meatball hosts and callers end up disagreeing and arguing with him...

Bernstein usually takes the anti-meatball "I'm above this" stance. Both cause arguments. Both are extreme. But they are polar opposites of each other...

I'm saying that they both say shit, even if they dont believe it, to get under someone's skin. Dustin was pissed awhile ago before the Olympics that Kane left to go to his grandfathers funeral when they could have just pushed it back another day or two because, after all he's Patrick Kane.

I care

I think there's a pretty large group of Marquette grads in Chicagoland. I mean there are worse things they could talk about.

I'd wager there are more grads of Iowa, Purdue, Indiana or Wisconsin than Marquette in Chicago.

I think you might be way underestimating the Marquette contingent in Chicago.

You are underestimating the Big Ten size.

Iowa undergrad population is 22K, last time I looked nearly 50% came from illinois and the super majority of those from the chicago area.

That's as many as Marquette's undergrad population (8K)

I wasnt saying they line up with those much larger state schools, but to dismiss it as not a big group is wrong.

Still 100% correct and they still have the highest rated morning show the Score ever had and the only one to beat ESPN.

You can acknowledge that many others like them, without liking them yourself. Its when you tell everyone how good some other radio guys are and then they get a shot for a month to co-host and the ratings nose dive. Numbers don't lie.

No no. You just recently said "I know a lot of people say I think the show is great, I never said that". But their are more than a few examples to the contrary.

You're jumping off the bandwagon. It's ok. We've all been there in some form or another...
