I'm on the other side. I'm not as weird as the Devils are about it, where no one is allowed a number over 40 (except Jagr), but I generally don't like vanity numbers. I get it with the Canadiens, who have so many numbers retired that everyone's numbers are up in the 50s, 60s, 70s, but why does Hossa need to wear 81 when he could have worn the 18 he wore in Ottawa? And then Kopecky wearing 82 to be next to 81. It gets silly.
