i think hoffy's saying this because he lives in the region. oregon fans can get to be pretty agitating...and if you want to see a whole lot of assholery, go to a sports bar in portland when the civil war's going on. you'll be on your knees begging to come back to the devil-hand-gesturing michigan and THE ohio state fans.

There are people in the Pac-12 who get annoying, but I don't think they concern themselves with the greatness of the entire conference as much as Big Ten fans do.

They're the only two that matter.

I have 2 degrees from DePaul, why would I want to advertise that?

No one cares about Depaul.

I'll take Ray Meyer over Gene Kadey.

I wouldn't.

Ray Meyer's claim to fame was being the coach of three #1 seeds that got knocked out in the first round. Now that's some quality coaching.

A nice win for Wisconsin and would give them a good shot vs Michigan or Kentucky.

Pulling for Kentucky and UConn tomorrow so the Big Ten crowd doesn't become even more insufferable.

No way Big 10 fans are more obnoxious than SEC fans. No fucking way.

How about Ivy League Alumni?

You went to "The Harvard of the Midwest"? Well, I guess we all can't get into the REAL Harvard!

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... not enough tOSU bashing in this thread.
Having lived in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania; my experience was tOSU were the worst. My ranking of those four would be:
1. tOSU
2. Illinois, Michigan & Penn State (tie)
5. Michigan State

You can't underestimate the power of the Penn State brainwashing...as I'm sitting here in one of my Penn State shirts...

#1 is spot on. Michigan should hold #2 to themselves.

The least annoying alumni in the B1GT3n have to be Minnesota. Rarely hear a peep out of them. Michigan, tOSU, Michigan St. Purdue, you can't get away from them here in Chicago.

Not a lot of Minnesota transplants here. They tend to keep to themselves. They don't aspire to live in Chicago the way people from Michigan/Ohio/Missouri do, probably because of Minnesota's relative paucity of Confederate flags and industrial wastelands. Wisconsin's brain drain is split evenly between Chicago and Minneapolis.

The thing you have to keep in mind with tOSU is that none of the people who find it necessary to fly their flag 24-7 even fucking went there. It is as if by residing in the state of Ohio you are given an honorary tOSU alumni card.

Big Ten alumni also get their hackles raised by non-alumni sports fans more than other conferences. Another piece of the puzzle.
