I'm sure all of Dan's loyal foot soldiers will make sure Wrigley Rooftop Owners wins. It'll look good next to People Who Can't Find Work. Not a billionaire? Fuck you! Chicagosportsradio670thescore.

Hmmm right out of the box with the no way a white guy from the 50s could be faster than a black guy from the 80s with no proof offered. It just can't be.

I wonder what would happen if the show on which the winner is announced, and the winner was Wrigley Rooftop Owners, was being held at Murphy's or another rooftop owner's bar?

How can people who are enforcing a valid contract be the worst? Will people who follow medical device win next year?

The rooftops are already heavily discounting from their unreasonable list prices. Although WSCR has attempted to brainwash me into thinking they're the scum on my shoe I'll be attending opening weekend in one. At a discounted price, rooftops are a great option when half your party doesn't necessarily care for baseball.

These guys don't understand how there is no outrage in Baltimore about Ray Rice. Where was the outrage when the Bears got Brandon Marshall?

You have to be pretty fucking retarded (sorry ... this is my rare usage of the word for a while) to think Johnny Football is anything special after his bullshit sham of a workout yesterday.

He's a first rounder because he clumsily avoided a black guy about my age half-assed chasing him with a broom? What the fuck is that shit, a Borax box picture tryout?

He's a first rounder because a former President had nothing better to do than attend?

I know sometimes Rome trolls just to troll, but that wasn't a troll, he thinks he made a salient point .... just goes on the ever-growing pile of why Rome is dogshit ... the city too, why not ...

I was in Rome about 20 years ago. My ears are still ringing from those 2-stroke scooters buzzing around.

I didnt hear it, but I feel comfortable saying Rome was 100% correct

The GM's that were there seem to have been impressed

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — It was part pro day, part spectacle. But it was 100% Johnny Football.

Johnny Manziel — former Texas A&M quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner, friend of LeBron James and former President George H.W. Bush and NFL hopeful — put on a pro day performance Thursday like few in the NFL had ever seen.

"I wanted to put on a good show for them," Manziel said.

And what a show it was for representatives of 30 of the 32 NFL teams, including eight head coaches and eight general managers. Only the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears were not represented.

RECEIVERS: Evans, others help Manziel shine at pro day

Those NFL talent evaluators who did come to College Station left with a greater understanding of the Manziel phenomenon. He is more than just a quarterback — Manziel is a celebrity.

"There's a little bit of Hollywood to it. But the guy came out and he threw the ball well," Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen told USA TODAY Sports.

FTW: President Bush attends Manziel's pro day

NIKE: Already showing off Manziel-wear

Manziel warmed up for his workout in private before strutting into the Aggies' field house as rap music — the uncensored variety — blared from speakers. Manziel wore a matte black helmet, shoulder pads, a black No. 2 jersey and shorts in a camouflage print — part of a special line of Manziel gear being marketed and sold by Nike.

None of the NFL coaches or personnel executives on hand who spoke to USA TODAY Sports could remember seeing a prospect, let alone a quarterback, go through a pre-draft workout in football gear.

"You play the game in shoulder pads on Sundays, why not come out here and do it?" Manziel asked. "I've never understood why that was a trend. To me, it was a no-brainer when coach (George)] Whitfield and I talked about it. Come out here and treat this as a business day, treat this as a game day."

Were this a game and not a scripted throwing session without a defender in sight, Manziel's stat line would read 61-for-64 passing, including one drop, one pass caught just out of bounds and one throw that Manziel just missed.

"It's a controlled environment, so you expect that he would be (accurate). But the way that the ball came out, and the way that he handled himself was impressive," Houston Texans general manager Rick Smith said. "The leadership that he showed, the accuracy that he showed, all those things — it was a good day for him."

OR keeps people talking about it (and listening) ......... I don't like to say that, but it's not exactly unfounded

"The workout Manzell had was Star Wars. It was unbelievable." - Jon Gruden

"He's like a video game. There's not a throw he can't make and there's some he can make I'm not sure anyone else can make. That's exciting. But how many times does that happen in a game, making those long throws. Maybe twice in 16 games. I know seeing someone do that is a scout's dream, but it doesn't happen much. ... He seems very first class, very easy to get along with. No doubt he was a great leader. That's why everybody wants him now." - Lane Kiffin

"Johnny Manzell is going to immediately energize (the) fanbase ... (t)hree years from now you could be looking at a guy that's certainly one of the elite top five quarterbacks in this league. ...You're talking about a 2-3 year period once he's under center. Look out because the skill level that he has is certainly John Elway-like." - Mel Kiper

"I can't remember being in such awe of a quarterback in my decade of attending combines and pro days. Manzell's passing session was the most impressive of all the pro days I've been to ... He was nimble in his dropbacks, rolling out and throwing on the run. The ball just explodes out of his hands." - Todd McShay

Glowing reports from a workout will certainly translate into success.

By the way, these comments weren't for Manzell, they were for Jamarcus Russell.

So, I'll go ahead and not buy into bullshit hype from a controlled workout of a 5'10" quarterback with a black guy chasing him with a broom.

The day the Bears acquired Marshall, Dan openly applauded the Bears for their ability to look past the fact that Marshall is a serial abuser of women.

And as others have pointed out, the racially coded concern-trolling they're peddling in re: DeSean Jackson would get any caller shouted off the phone and reported to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

I didnt say it would translate, but you presented it as if it were a totally worthless hype session. Apparently NFL Gms were impressed

Anyway, I was just taking up for my guy Rome. I dont really care.

What are the GMs gonna say ... "m'eh"?

And again, Rome listed attendees in regards to the success of the workout. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

And I know he's your guy; we do this once in awhile when I don't kiss the ring of Rome. It's okay, we still agree on just about everything else ... it's healthy.
