That analysis lacks any sophistication with the subject matter.

kind of interesting he took players designed for one system, changed the system, and got the same result. Not a very good system I guess.

Yeah, they got had Drew Crawford as a senior, the return of Jershon Cobb, and the expected improvement from freshman to sophomore year of Alex Olah.

This Northwestern team was more talented than the team that finished 11th last year in a Big Ten that wasn't as good.

So you are saying he is a worse coach than Carmody?

I'm saying the "improvement" is mostly a mirage.

It's way too early tell anything. Carmody could easily have accomplished the same or more especially with the things above that I mentioned.

I agree, Big 10 Bball is the most physical and if you arent ready for a physical basketball game, you will be shocked. I have said it is why Wisconsin has had so much tourney success. They arent always the better team, but when they play teams who have not played against guys that body up on you on every possession, it throws everything off.

I was just ripping on Purdue being pussies this year.

Last nights MSU-UVA was based in all Big 10, from Dick Bennett's roots at Wisc.

Tonights WI-AZ will be a physical game as well. Not sure so many people knew AZ was a defensive team this year, with lack of scoring, usually not a Pac 12 type of game.

Assuming Aaron Gordon stays for one more years at AZ, they are going to be loaded with a team of NBA players, when Ashley gets back and they recruited #2 player in the nation Stanley Johnson, all 6'7" wing players, bringing in the classic speedy 5'9" PG and if Sean Miller gets these guys to play D next year, they could be a preseason fave.
