Who opened the blinds in Michael's room? Who killed Michael's assassins? I feel like it is implied Fredo did it but he seemed to be too dumb to pull off either task.

Opening blinds is not that difficult.

Fredo didn't kill the assassins. There was obviously a third, unnamed assassin whose job it was to kill the other two no matter how it worked out.

The real bullshit is how Frankie Five Angels was treated. He was a loyal soldier and it was Michael's mistake that caused him all the problems.

Frank's fate was due to Roth outwitting Michael. This implies tough that his would be assassins or fake assassins purposely left him alive after identifying themselves as being deployed by Michael. It was sort of confusing for me whether they were sent by Michael for an actual kill, or sent by Roth to frame Michael.

Then later what is the meaning of Tom crediting Roth for "playing this beautifully" when Michael discovers Frank is alive and will testify against him? I took that to mean Roth secured Frank by framing Michael for the kill attempt. Also, why did Michael then order frank to be killed? I thought he knew Roth was behind it all.
