I went to see this at St. Patrick High School this weekend.

They have an excellent, professional grade theater at the school. I don't know if that has attracted more professional help for the kids, but the overall quality of the production was astounding. I wouldn't say it was at professional grade, but it was well beyond what I'd expect from a high school.

The scenery and music were professional grade. That seems like a fairly difficult musical for a band and these kids hit on it perfectly. At times they outshone the singing.

Some skinny, little freshman stepped up and belted out the baritone for Caiphas. It was both funny and impressive.

The musical itself really does present some interesting theological arguments. I heard that Weber wrote the musical as his thesis in music school which is an obvious foreshadowing to a great career.

The music to that show is proof that satan is real.

I think the music is pretty good.

The head football coach came out and played an excellent Herod. I guess he is a Second City guy and enjoys playing a part in the school productions during the off season.

Although I absolutely detest that musical, I do appreciate the talent/dedication that kind of thing requires to pull off.

Was it one show only or will it be repeated?

What's the buzz? Tell me what's a-happening.

I always thought the movie was a little weird. I might like a live production better.

Pretty ironic for a religion that is so homophobic would have a musical about it's Son of God.

Ian Gillan of Deep Purple fame was good in the early version.
