What's up with that route efficiency stuff that Bernsie wrote about? I thought they were gonna show it every time a ball was put in play?

Probably gonna be a rocky season for Lindstrom, but he gets it done today. This ballgame is ova!!

I think it's only in a couple stadiums, we'll probably see it in certain national telecasts. They probably have some technical issues they are tinkering with.

It's impossible for him to have enough two homer games for that to happen.

It's impossible for him to get picked off when he hits a home run. At least I think so. If it can be done, he'd figure out a way.

Great game.

There are enough new/young players that predictions on win total are invalid.

Aubreu hit it with power to all three fields and looked fine defensively. He looks like a sophisticated hitter who resembles none of the scouting reports I gave seen

I'd say this is not a 90 loss team but Paulino may change that immediately

I am already tired of dunn

Eaton was on first with no outs in the third inning, and Ventura had Semien bunting, which of course, was popped up to the pitcher. Unreal.

Yeah I thought that was a big issue last year but actually Bernsie used his metrics to show the Sox were like in the bottom third in that? I was shocked.

That makes all of us.

I think Quintana will be fine. The defense will be better. If we can find a reliable 3-4-5 rotation, however that may come, this team has a chance to be good. I like the lineup with the exception of Flowers, Dunn(who is at least somewhat valuable), and Simean or however the fuck you spell his name who showed us we need Beckham back. That guy sucks.

On a2-0 count no less
Farmer and DJ thought he was bunting on his own, trying for a drag bunt down the first base line for a hit rather than a sacrifice. Semien had a terrible game at the plate yesterday.

Konerko should have been the DH. The Sox still likely would have won. If anything they might have had more runs because Paulie might have done more than hit a weak popup down the 3rd base line which let Gillespie score due to a really poor throw home by the Twins.

I think this offense will be exciting to watch for the most part, but I am not sold on the bullpen whatsoever.

I'd rather see Gillaspie than Semien.

His splits against LH are terrible. I think platooning him is the correct move, even if it means L. Garcia gets AB.

I've got the game on the radio. Are there even 8000 people there?

The error certainly didn't help much. Pick. Up. The. God. Damn. Ball.

Having two hitters at an 0-2 count and then walking them didn't help either.

Throw. Fucking. Strikes.

....and he was forced to 3rd base and subsequently forced home on walks.

Unearned run. Because of an error.

Yup, the pitcher had nothing to do with that run scoring. Good call.

Its still a run on the scoreboard. Just because its unearned doesn't mean it does not count.

The ball needs to be picked up, but the fielding% for this team is not going to be 100. When an error is made, the Sox need their pitchers to pitch over it. They are not good enough to overcome an error with 2 walks in the same inning. Terrible hitting by the Twins to only get 1 run out of that.

Offense picking up the slack, at least. I could get used to this.
