Has interest in this show waned to the point that show threads aren't started until nearly 30 minutes after the show starts or do people think the White Sox are playing now?

I don't understand Boomers stance at all on that to begin with. Shouldn't have said anything at all

I ignore everyone that tries to talk to me on the street unless they are an attractive woman. I ignore bums, I ignore tourists... doesnt matter. I'm not donating my time or money to anything based on a stranger stopping me on the street. Unless its a smoking hot chick and then I will at least listen and politely say 'no thank you'

Isnt it Mike Francesa?

Or did Boomer also weigh in?

Boomer said he would have made his wife get a c-section before the season started. Most assume he meant get induced, but women are pissed about it either way.

Rightfully so. This isnt like scheduling a shoulder surgery.

Most guys take a little time off work when the baby is born.

So Boomer was trying to one up Francesa's initial comment?

I can see saying, "If it were me, Id be there for the birth than back to work" but it's a personal choice

I'm longing for B&B or W&S. Fred Huebner is a fucking idiot. It's just so easy for women to get pregnant that all athletes can just plan it down to the day.

That's just a fucking dumb ignorant viewpoint. Surprised at Heubner. It's not the World Series it's a couple of fucking games out of 162. Mets aren't doing shit this year anyway , not that it matters to the point .

Hate to be a dick to Fred but he may not have ever had enough job security to take a few days off.

Murphy certainly does.

Here's a funny article about Francesa getting pranked after his mid show nap

In the waning days of the Mike North Morning Show he was telling a story about how he and/or he and his wife were babysitting. I don't remember the exact details at this point, but the gist of it was that the child, who sounded to be in the infant to toddler range, was sick. He said he just closed the door to the room the child was in and went about his business because the kid was sick and what could he do about it? Anne Maxfield (and even North) were appalled and said "You can't leave a sick child in an unattended room with the door closed and leave!"

There was also a time when he was talking about how he and his wife were considering adopting. His wife had apparently gone to an adoption agency, and while she was there she was looking at pictures of children who were up for adoption. He said that when she came home she was no longer sure if she wanted to adopt because the kids were all so ugly. Has anyone ever seen a pic or Fred and his wife? IIRC, they are not lookers.

A few years ago he was doing updates on the day of the Indianapolis 500. He said that since it was raining in Chicago it was probably raining there, too. It could be raining in Schaumburg and not raining in Mt. Prospect. Indianapolis is three hours away. Just because it's raining in Chicago does NOT mean it's also probably raining in Indy.

there is a very wide gulf between what people without kids know and what they think they know.

Personally, I don't understand this modern custom of a man "helping" a woman have a baby.

I with you.

These "paternity" leaves are bullshit. Be a man, bring home the bacon, and get to fucking work. I'm amused when people congratulate the man on having a baby. The woman did all the work. Sticking your cock in her was really a grueling experience wasn't it?

Could this be a sign that listeners just say "ok, I will" when Dan yells at them to listen to something else if they don't like his show? Now that there is a third option, I'm thinking they will/are.

Ya know, I'm sick of hearing this shit. No non-parents are under the impression that parenting is easy. But parents sure as hell like to remind us that it's not! And yes, I'm 100% sure that I could be a better parent right now than 90% of parents because 90% of people are fucking idiots and thus, bad parents. It takes patience and hard work to be a parent, but stop acting like it's fuckin rocket science. Snooki has kids. Enough said.

Actually sadly there are.

My wife was just showing me a blog article from a friend of hers who is pregnant with her first child. Just a few weeks from knowing her and her husband are having their first child and they got all the answers. Not the first time I have seen that either.

I would venture a guess that those people are naive know-it-alls in all facets of life, not just parenting.

Probably true, but there are a lot of those people walking the earth. So it would not be accurate to say that no non-parents are under the impression that parenting is easy.

Like with most things there are idiots on both sides. There are parents that think non parents are clueless boobs that could not tie their own shoes. And there are non parents that think parenting is easy and anyone could raise a kid without any problems.

I'm talking about the pregnancy birthing process here.

I was a non-parent too. For 31 years. I know exactly what is it like to be a non-parent.
