How is Hawk anything but pompous? He has the answer to everything. Everyone and everything is the "greatest since..." or so and so is the "best_____in baseball". He lives to make grand proclamations because the only opinion that matters to him is his.

It's one thing being experienced and having knowledge of the game but Hawk is quite pretentious about his own opinions.

Hawk can be irritating but will never be as bad as Santo was. It got to the point I could no longer listen to games on the radio even when I wanted to.

Hawks skills as a play-by-play man are only eclipsed by his tremendous success as a general manager.

I've made it through 4 1/3 so far and haven't had to turn it off. He has been quite tolerable today. Him telling that ball to go foul and thanking it was a nice touch to this inning.

Having an actual broadcaster on radio, then Farmer and Hawk on the TV side to just fuck around while cameras show a ballgame would be the best allocation of resources. Unfortunately, Weird Jerry is obsessed with having athletes do play-by-play. Don Drysdale, too.

if you go "all in" for mlb.tv premium, you can get all the radio broadcasts for any given game right there on their at bat 14 app for your phone. it's fucking wonderful when you're out doing something that prevents you from watching the game on your phone, and streaming radio bandwith is a pittance going against the average contemporary data plan.

CoF is partially correct. GameDay Audio is $20 for every radio feed. Initially, ass-backwards MLB had it that if you bought Audio through At-Bat app you would get audio through the app and mlb.com. But if you bought Audio through mlb.com the app audio access was an additional $15 or $20 (I forgot). Now you get both for $20. Pretty handy now that B&B suck and White Sox games are death.
