I had to laugh at the "and you're blocked" response. But but but but! I really don't text their show that often. I would say once every couple of months. I text Leery much more often (not all negative, since I usually enjoy his solo show), as he engages in responding. He agreed with me that Dustin Rhodes is nothing but a troll.

Last year, Terry said that Rizzo would be a 35 HR per year guy.

If you actually walked up to him and belted him the fucking mouth at a remote. And he Alerted. The. Authorities! I think there is a good chance the Authorities might congratulate you on a job well done if you showed them that exchange. What a little Caller Bob that guy is. And I can't think of a better word.

I just think it's funny that he whines about being threatened. Well, if I talked to people like that, I would expect to be threatened.

They are correct. Alabama's athletic revenue was more than every NHL team, and almost every NBA team.

I'm sure that with no labor costs their profit margin is better too.

Dan is by far the more insipid person in that text exchange.

I'd remind him that as soon as Dan Mc Neil returns to afternoon drive at another station you and many others will be doing just that as evidenced by his ratings against MJH.

I enjoy W&S. I usually flip back and forth between B&B and them, but my radio at work does this humming/buzzing when it's on ESPN that I can't stand. Guess I could use my phone.

NHL and NBA teams have an incentive to hide and play shell games with their revenues. As we all heard ad nauseum Rocky and McDonough saying the Hawks lost money in their 1st Cup winning year. I'd love to know how they calculated the revenue for the NBA and NHL.

Also the labor in college isn't "free". There is no such thing as "free"

What would happen if people started emailing Dan's suggestions to each of the show's sponsors and said "Dan Bernstein told me not to listen to his show, so I'm going to stop listening. This means that I will no longer hear your commercials or buy your products."?

This exchange was...unfortunate. I don't know about history, but Dan's going to be on the wrong side of something.

I'm going to guess that's true or greg would have been blocked after text #2.

I'd expect plenty more Coach K bashing today given Calipari's post-game interview where he took full responsibility for the team losing and saying he "didn't give them enough" to win the game. 3 hours.

Mac said fuck that shit and had everyone unblocked when he found out Bernsie's blocks affected all shows. That is why you get the text back now when you text. So you know you are not blocked. I seem to recall them saying there will be no blocking unless you really are some sort of real threat. Not one as perceived by Danny Bernstein from Deerfield, Illinois.

Yeah the Blackhawks claim to lose millions every year because money that goes to other Writz holdings from the Hawks are not counted.

The only way he doesn't get 30 is if he doesn't get enough at-bats for some reason. And then dumbass Terry just made up shit. "Most scouts think he won't." Idiotic and false.

I wonder if 2 Cub fans agreed "30 homeruns was a LOCK" for a guy who was hitting .222 with 0 homeruns after a week would be ridiculed?

You both like to call Cub fans unrealistic. I think Abreu will get close but this kind of optimism would be roundly mocked if it were a cub fan.

I'm not particularly optimistic about Abreu but you can see the kind of power he has. He goes to the plate 550 times, it's going to be difficult for him not to hit 30, especially when half of his at-bats are at U.S. Cellular.

And I wasn't talking about him being great when he was batting .660 two days ago and I don't think he sucks because he's batting .220 now. Why are we even talking about his average over 15 or 20 at-bats? It's silly.

Abreu is going to be fine, IMHO. Looks like a real talent. As I've said in other threads, the Sox offense should have a nice year. It's the pitching that should concern folks. Their defense also looks improved overall. That Eaton catch last night was very sweet.

The team looks to be about 1/3 rebuilt to me. There are still a ton of holes that need to be filled.

I've been pretty consistent that any projections for Abreu are unfounded. That has only changed slightly in what seven games can reveal about a player

I'm not so sure on the defense, either. Eaton definitely looks good in center, but Garcia often looks lost so far in right, Alexei still has the same problems he always had, and Abreu obviously needs some work and was scouted as a below-average defensive player.

Dunn is really a huge impediment. He has no future with the team and at the same time he is blocking a younger guy from getting necessary AB. If he proves himself to be the suck we all know he is, there is no logic in not cutting bait on him by the all star break. The same is probably true for Beckham but to a lesser degree.

Guilty as charged I guess? For some reason I was lead to believe this guy is further along and developed that the Cub prospect/player in question.

What a fuckin bitch... Bernstein may be tops on my list of dudes I'd like to knock the fuck out of. It's not an act. He's truly a little bitch.

And if Rosen ever reads this board, please know that you are a total pussy for allowing hosts to talk directly to listeners like that.

Bernsie has specifically said in the past the listeners are not his customers. I do not get that as who are the advertisers trying to reach?
