When I found out on waking this morning I felt a blow to the chest. I mean he was just inducted to the WWE HOF Sat and was on RAW Monday night. his speech and promo on Monday if you go back and listen to them is like he knew he was going soon.
When he was at his peak I always thought he was a little too cartoony for me. Now I went on the the WWE Network looked at a few promos there and on you tube. I think it was more I was just not the right age and mindset to get him. He always seemed to be speaking of unknown forces and spirits calling him and him using not just our power but tapping into theirs as well. I get and understand a lot more now of just what he was trying to put across. I know it is nothing dep or important but he was telling the truth. If by watching and listening to him you took something from it and used it to help yourself,he lived on. As long as one person remembered and passed along their memories of what he did he would still live on. I mean like someone else said he was such an enigmatic force that people where always making rumors of his passing. It is ho it goes, As said in the Sandlot"Heros are always remembered but Legends never die" plus as said in The Man Who SHot Liberty Valance"When the Legend becomes fact ,print the legend" He may have only been just a wrestler but he got into our minds and souls like most can't.
I am just glad that unlike his contemporary Randy Savage him and Vince where able to mend fences enough for him to be welcomed back into the WWE universe so he could go into the HOF while alive and be able to bask just one last time in the squared circle where he made thousands leap from their seats and cheer.

This board made jokes about a board member that literally died and came back to life this weekend. No way this could possibly be off limits.

Very sad to hear of his passing. At least he got to be a part of his HOF induction and be on RAW.

I was reading over some stories regarding his death. And I came across this statement:

Quote:
He defeated Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI in 1990 with one of his signature moves, "the big splash," to become champion of what was then known as the WWF (World Wrestling Federation).

He was also known for the gorilla press, and at one point managed to pick up and slam the 7'4" 520-pound Andre the Giant.

Did he slam Andre? I do not recall that.

I have read and heard that Andre did not like him at all, and I cannot see him letting Warrior slam him and if Andre did not want you to slam him, you weren't slamming him.

This is sad. I stood next to him at some comic book/scifi expo in Rosemont a few years after his popularity had waned. He was telling some dad if he signed for his kid,he will have to sign for everybody's kid. Nobody was around him!

Anyway RIP

No ... end was when WWE broke up E&C, Dudleys, & the Hardys.

I stand firm in my assessment that it BEGAN back then. Fucking Haku and Andre? What were they just standing next to each other when they came with that?
