Joan called the cops on me because I had a fire in the backyard a couple years ago. Of course, we're allowed to here. Cop came over sat by the fire with us for a few minutes, said he had to put in an appearance because she called. Apparently the smoke bothers her. She's called the cops on each of the other neighbors her property is adjacent to as well. Anyway, a few weeks after calling the cops on me she's out in her backyard burning leaves and sticks... leaves are pretty moist still and smoking up most of the neighborhood. What a bitch.

it's allowed by me too....and admittedly i have done it before in the past

but i don't anymore and i fucking hate it now. few days ago, its finally nice outside, go out to walk my dogs and can barely breathe , fucking assholes



aside from the noxious smoke, it takes quite awhile to burn through a yard full of leaves, and you can't really leave a smoldering pile of leaves unattended ...seems like its more trouble than its worth

She opened it though. Mistake or not it's against the law. I'd at least let her know that and the statute of limitations they can prosecute and maybe she will think about policing the neighborhood so often.
