Last game of the year, gotta stay healthy while the Blues find new ways to get hurt. Win, lose, DOOOOOOOOOOOON'T CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE.

Viktor Stalberg's on a five-game pointless streak, but it's more of a lifelong pointless streak. The sad thing is that as much shit as we give him for sucking, he's scoring more points per game than Bickell: .264 to .241. :( He still sucks, tho

In spite of the Perds' day-late-dollar-short winning streak, it's sounding more and more like this is the end for ol' No Neck, and that next year's coach will be erstwhile Blackhawk Phil Housley. The organization's fealty to Trotz was something I never understood. He's made it out of the second round twice, 2011 and 2012, and missed the playoffs plenty of times. His team had the best shot anyone had to knock the Blackhawks out in 2010 and blew it because Mr. Conservative somehow let celebrated dipshit Martin Erat on the ice in the final seconds of play. Could have fired him after that, could have fired him after derping away the series with Phoenix in 2012, but really should have let him go after their 2006 and 2007 teams -- which were actually very talented and had unPredly guys like Kariya and Forsberg scoring goals -- couldn't break out of the first round, ultimately giving way to another mediocre one-and-done in 2008 and missing altogether in 2009 (another viable Fire Trotz window, bringing the grand total to five if you count this year). There's talk that if he gets fired, Florida or New Jersey might try to snatch him up, but I hope he just retires, because he was a shitty coach who brought the whole league down with his tiresome drudgery.

Watch, after I wrote all that they still won't fire him. Emerging markets can't handle that kind of inconsistency!

Go Hawks just don't get hurt. Great year of game threads and song titles.

Breaking the shutout against posting here to say that Matt Carey scored a goal. Nice souvenir for the kid. He'll surely never be seen again.

Hossa got his 30th of the year and Q sent him to the showers before anyone could pop his bum shoulder back out.

Polish French Jew, I'll have you know.

And yeah if Antti Raanta doesn't come back, I don't think I'll be heartbroken. Jesus, dude, it's the Perds.
