I'm sure Northern Virginia is a fine place to live, it's just a little weird to me that it really has no culture of its own because everyone was drawn from somewhere else.

DC burbs, especially Virginia, are one of the last places in the country where you see people hitchhiking all the time. Dudes in suits, chicks in dresses, standing by the side of the road, waiting to get picked up. Like platoons of em. Fucking creeped me out. I'd ignore em and speed up as I drove by. I've seen enough movies about what happens when you pick up hitchhikers.

I travel on business throughout the country and I am quite confident in saying that while racism does exist in every state, it is much more prevalent in "the south".

If I went out on a 2 mile run through town right now I would see no less than 5 confederate flags flying on flagpoles on people's homes. Liking the Dukes of Hazzard is one thing.....flying that shit on your house is fucked up. This is also Ohio.......as in never part of the south Ohio. Good riddance in a few months.

I don't really agree with that. It's more prevalent in rural areas vs big cities. I don't think racism is more prevalent in Texas/Louisiana/Mississippi than in Indiana/Ohio/North Dakota, etc.
