Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner did a nice job in a movie that has good character development, good relationships and captures the tension that I'm sure is felt by every GM on draft day. Chris Berman's presence adds an air of authenticity, as do the various NFL players who take part in this movie, including Arian Foster, who has a fairly significant role as one of the highly rated potential picks. Worthwhile....not great, but worthwhile.

Have zero interest in seeing this. Chris Berman sealed the deal. Can't stand him. Nor would I shell out $10 to hear his bullshit, even if it's only a couple scenes.

It's a terrible movie.

I saw it over the weekend. It was decent. I expected it to be awful, but I didn't think it was. But I would recommend waiting to see it once it comes out on DVD.

You mean VHS, right? Who's rich enough to afford a DVD player?

No surprise Steve likes a movie that has a guy named Arian in it.

Getting my car washed last week and while sitting in the lobby watching Jan Garner with Strahan and the lil blonde (forgot her name) on the TODAY like show. She is on to promo the movie,

her pitch was that it is a 'Chick flick wrapped up like a guys movie' , so guys will want to go see the movie but girls will love it.

Is it on cable yet? It's been like 3 days now.

Not bad......Foster actually does a decent job in the role he was given, though it wasn't all that demanding. I find it funny that there are so many negative comments from people who have never seen the movie. RFDC is the only other person to see the movie and he liked it. Perhaps having an educated opinion (having seen the movie) is the key? The opinions of those who have never seen the movie yet, are summarily dismissed.

Watched it over the weekend - SPOILERS.

It's basically a 2-hour movie about how Costner miraculously turns three 2nd round picks into about the 15th pick of the 1st round through overdrafting and blind luck.

We must not let Phil Emery see this film.

Watched it as one of the 20+ movies in my recent plane travels. The doctor pretty much nails this review. If you've ever played Franchise mode in Madden, you'd probably do better managing a team than Costner. I feel that Costner did this movie to add to his list of sports films as he has baseball very well covered but is lacking in football films. I almost liked Million Dollar Arm better and I stopped watching that about 30 minutes into it.

"million dollar arm" looked like one of the smarmiest films to come out besides "the fault in our stars" lately. i kinda wish these manipulative movies wouldn't make so much money so they wouldn't continue to be produced.

meanwhile we lost out on "the green inferno".

It's on HBO right now. Just caught the last 20 minutes or so. Oh my God is it bad. Stupid dialogue and god awful acting. Including Costner.

I saw it was playing on HBO, I'll be sure to avoid it. Thanks for the heads up.
