Veal reminds me of Thornton giving up runs all the time. Doesn't belong in the majors.

last night's game should make for a "testy" M&H interview with coop this morning

I heard the interview and Coop had a shitty phone so Im not sure if I heard this correctly but Hahnley asked him why he didn't open up the 9th with Lidstrom as most teams go with their closer to protect 1 run leads in the ninth. Cooper responded with we didn't do that because if he got in trouble we wouldn't have had anyone else to put in. Again Im not sure I heard that correctly so Im open for clarification / correction on that.

when he does break his arm, Coop will be such an asshole when the first guy asks him "Do you think all those games you pitched him extended innings had an effect?"

127 this early, cold early I think is a little too much, but thats what they choose to do.

Sale throws with a whip motion. It's like a trebuchet, the load on his arm is much higher than the average pitcher. It's how he throws. Having him throw 27 pitches less probably doesnt matter, but from what I have been told, it's just a matter of time before he has a complete arm blowout. It's not going to be a gradual decline, he will just go down in pain and be done.

So, while I hate Coop, I don't think he has done shit to really help sale that any other pitching coach wouldn't have done and when Sale does blow out his arm, I won't blame Coop either. But I know he will be a complete asshole to the media about it.
