I seem to be getting lots of popups and the site is running kind slowly and erratically.

I have a Mac and things were screwy when I logged in yesterday. Screen kept glitching. It always runs a little slow for me so I didn't pay that part much mind

I for one, bigfan, have no problem with any of this. In fact, I enjoy the seizure inducing banner ads. The pop ups keep me on my toes. And I like downloading stuff to my work computer anyway....so it's a win-win.

I'm sorry my fellow board members are giving you such a hard time about this.

Your computer might have adware installed not part of this website and runs everytime you run a browser.

1 - you should run a scan with 'Spybot' or 'malwarebytes' (both ad-ware / spyware scanning apps)
Spybot 2 FREE edition = http://www.safer-networking.org/mirrors/
Malwarebyte (download FREE Version) = https://www.malwarebytes.org/
2- install either or both and run a scan on your PC
3 - whatever results it finds choose clean/ FIX.
4 - INSTALL a cache cleaner (CCleaner) = http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
5 - close all internet browsers and RUN CCLEANER
6 - reopen internet browser (like FIREFOX, IE, Chrome, etc)... and everything should run much faster when browsing the web.

7 - you can also install a plugin called ghostery (for Firefox or Chrome) which will allow you to block all adware scripts running on a site... Can work in conjunction with adblockplus as well.

I'm using Firefox on my PC and Chrome on my Galaxy and both have experienced this oddness and the weird ghost text script that's been popping up. The site is running slower than other websites on both devices on both my wifi at home and the network outside the crib.

yeah i use chrome as well and i have noticed some poltergeist type hijinx going on lately. i thought i heard some weird sound effect at one point, too. is bigfan using ouija software?

I noticed a little slowness loading pages and I have all the anti this and that as well.

Seems that it's the new pop up ads. Now I'm getting them on my chrome browser on my android and they're preventing the pages from loading. I'm having to load the pages two, three times to get a page to load. It's one of those ads that stays on the screen even if you're scrolling down.
