Went to the park quite a bit this week. Today, two pit bulls were there. One seemed pretty aggressive and was clamping necks just a little bit. So I decided just to walk around the outside with my pup and feel things out. Within five minutes, it happened... the two pit bulls started barking loudly and went at it. One had the other by the neck and would not let go. The owners tried to break it up; but they couldn't get him off. It went on for about a full minute. Finally they got the one off after hitting him and pouring water on him.

The owners hands were cut up, as was the attacked dog. Blood everywhere. I went in after the pits left, and a guy there told me it wasn't the first fight at the park for the attacker! Are you kidding? If your dog is a pit bull and is prone to fights, don't bring him to the fuckin dog park! The scene today was a bit disturbing. People are idiots.

Of course the owner of the attacking pit will claim that it was his dog being attacked.

Yes, or they will act like it wasn't really a big deal. Keep in mind there was about a 10 year old girl in there when this happened. Imagine if it was her instead of the other dog. Some of these people are too casual about their dogs. If it's a miniature collie, fine. But the powerful breeds are no joke and can do some serious damage quickly.
